4 жыл бұрынThe Quiet Hour - Humans are few and far between since Earth was invaded by unseen extraterrestrial machines that harvest the planet's natural resources and relentlessly kill its inhabitants. In a remote part of the countryside, where starved humans have become as dangerous as the alien machines hovering in the sky, a feisty 19 year old girl, Sarah Connolly, sets out on a desperate attempt to fight back a group of bandits and defend her parents' farm, their remaining livestock, and the solar panels that keep them safe from extraterrestrials. If she doesn't succeed, she will lose her only source of food and shelter; but if she resists, she and her helpless blind sibling will be killed. And if the mysterious intruder dressed like a soldier who claims he can help them turns out to be a liar, then the enemy may already be in the house.

As a harsh critic, This has to be the best low budget movie I've ever seen. It got me connected to it from the beginning till end. Actors are lovely and very great in what they're doing.

I read the comments and actually watched the movie! It was surpringly good! Good script, directing, acting. Proves you don't need billions of dollars to make a quality film. A sci-fi about alien invasion and, incredibly (spolier alert!), not an alien in the cast!

A good movie, and an uncomplicated story. The first time I saw Dakota was in the movie "Golden Compass". It was good to see her in something else.

Low budget maybe. But this flick was deeper and better acted than most blockbusters. It realistically explored fairly realistic human reactions to an impossible situation. No superheros, no fantastic last minute valiant saves, and no extreme CGI. Just ordinary people trying to survive in whatever fashion they were drawn to. I give it an A+ for originality and good acting.

To be classed as blind does not always mean you have total loss of vision, it means you vision is seriously impaired and that it will greatly effect your everyday interactions with your surroundings, registered blind people can have partial vision like peripheral vision, this allows them to see detailed things in very small pockets of their sight in some cases - your ignorance is what is LOL!

Cute cast. Each quite special within their own rights. Editing a bit TV. Camera work and lighting quite good. Good storyline. Would benefit from some close ups. Could have made more tension with blind boy’s world being explored (sounds and touch). CGI well considered. Look forward to the next one. Thanks for posting.

Another good movie. Thank you. I had no issue watching the whole thing. Probably because i grew up in the 80s on lower budget movies and less special effects...meaning with reality! Lol. Thank you for the entertainment. I liked the acting, the story, the small amount but good FX and that it didn't cost me a dime... you know since i'm not special or owed anything in life. Haha. @@krshna77 Sure this short film starts with the young woman burying her father. Does not show how he died. What about my comment is an assumption? The quote from the father or the fact that he died slightly over a year after the invasion? Old? His kids are in their late teens maybe early 20s. Unless he had those children when he was 60+ he's probably only in his 50s. I made no assumptions about his health or spirituallity. Just an observation on his quote and how long he lasted. Telling me the guy is "probably" old is the definition of an assumption. Are you training to get on the Parscale Olympic Team?

You "connected" the dots like a lawyer, not like a cold observer, and even the wording betrays your intent -- "Dad _lasts_ " rather than _lives_ or _survives_ . Maybe your viewpoint applies at some level of artistic analysis. But this is a VERY realistic movie (character depth and development, environmental interactions, story progress), therefore I decided to come at this from a technical, non-reducible point. Which would best manifest at a biological level. Maybe we're both right in a way, but we can't deal with each other. Would you agree that to be a fact.

U can watch long kiss good night starring geena Davis of telma and Louis fame and samuel L Jackson must watch action movie. Old movie got released in probably 1996 . Definitely u will love the movie. Narrow margin starring gene hack men ultimate suspense movie. He got ocsar for best actor for French Connection movie. He acted in. Primal fear starring Richard Gere and Edward Norton is also good thriller.this movie is based on spilt personality.usual suspects ultimate thriller starring Kevin Spacey is also Good Suspense movie. Double Jeopardy starring Ashley judd and Tommy Lee Jones is Osm Thriller MovieE
