This is a good game to make kids quiet for once. And I mean really quiet in a limited space. Normal hide and seek needs a lot bigger space than this. Also trains the seeker's hearing and presence detection. Also makes the kid learn honesty since this game also rely on how honest you are to make it fun. Basically most childhood games are only fun if all players are honest, because the rules can only work if they are honest. . . . This is specifically a game made so that kids don't grow up spoiled so idk what that other commenter is on.

Imagine the kid do the same thing but with a real gun in the future

I remember playing that as a kid in the early 2000’s (well, more of the yrs around 2010).

Me and my siblings played a similar game but we never had a gun so we just played tag in the dark

We played a game called moose. Big carpeted basement and everyone hid except one person. That one person would stare at a light for 60 seconds, go down into the pitch black basement. Everyone was crawling on hands and knees and the "moose" would have to tackle all the others. Loads of fun.

When i was younger we used to play a different type of tag, except of taging the person with your hands you would have a ball to throw or either kick of you wanted to make it more difficult for the tagger. We used to run around the house (outside) when playing due to the danger of smashing interal pots or stuff. And we also had a type were the tagger had the ball but stood on a fixed location and he had to throw/kick the ball at the non taggers who also were in limited space were they could only move out of the way a couple of feets to either the right or left. And if the tagger hit the non tagger they would switch places, but if the new tagger was fast enough he could try to throw/kick the ball at non tagger making his way back to the platform or location where they are meant to be and thus be the non tagger again.
