My old Scotsman had the engine in the train, the old X-03 motor like in your shunter. Tender driven always seemed odd to me, like a rear engined Volkswagen! I had an NE loco with a tender before that had sound, just a 'drum' box inside the tender with a spring arm down to the axle with a tab of sandpaper that stroked a prong on the revolving axle. It worked well and I was disappointed the Scotsman didn't have it! Duchess of Sutherland was another I had but it was tender driven. It had lights and wire handrails though and I got the operating mail-carriage to use with it, a nice accessory. I also had the Operating Ore Wagon set which was fun. Nice video. Ever seen The Ghost Train or Oh, Mr Porter? They're basically the same film though...

I've heard and seen clips of both those films, never fully watched them lol, I have seen the titfield thunderbolt tho great movie

@@TheRailwayShedOfficial be neat to do a side by side compare between the sets. More fun would be a place to see all the hornby sets, just to not only see what they are and what should be in them
