Another good road, albeit narrow, is the B4405 from Bryn-Crug. It runs along side a lake, so close if you sneezed and had a wobble, you'd be in the drink! And the mountain road that runs from Llandidloes to Macynlleth, the B4518. I was there last week and kept saying I need to take my Enfield on those roads!

This is why Wales is one of my Favourite places to go.Haven't done the North yet . You need to do the Blackmountain Pass Breacon Beacons if not done it . A Stunning Mountain Road . Hope to be able to get over again in the new year Camping .

Especially as you pretty much live in Wales... Ultimately, this isn't far past Abergavenny so you should be able to get there in a bout 75 - 90 mins!

@@CaptainRambunctious Im planning one last huzzar into wales hopefully before it goes back into full lockdown, the route i had in mind was Rhayader into elan valley past the dams then onto aber (as ive never been to the sea front as i've always gotten lost when i go there haha), then back via that road as i didnt realise that it ends just past builth. if the squadron is free and would like to join we could plan it out fully :)

I used to love watching the Lombard RAC Rally as a kid... looked forward to it every year.

Badger Bigglesworth :- Forty years or so The Motoring News road rally championship was the premier tarmac series. There were rounds all over the country, mostly run at night apart from the Tour of Mull. Road rallies were a big deal then. Stage rallies eventually took over as the nanny state developed. Glad you guys had a good trip..👍

Single lane roads would be a nope for me !!! Was passenger in a car in North Wales in the 90's and with the huge hedges I was in need of clean undies ....

Never done that one, gonna have to go there next time I'm back in Wales. Was going to say how did you miss the old Aberystwyth mountain road from Devils Bridge to Elan Valley reservoirs, but you found a corker fair dues.
