Awesome! The rarest CDs I own so far are 2 albums by Endless Dismal Moan: His self titled and Lord of Nightmare. Revenant - Prophecies of a Dying World, I paid $200 for this! Anal Cunt - I Like It When You Die and It Just Gets Worse. And lastly 4 North Korean CDs. I paid about $45 for each of these and I got them from Far Side Music in the UK. The North Korean CDs I have are: Korean Songs 1: Both Paektu and Halla Belong to My Motherland Korean Songs 4: Don't Advance, Night of Pyongyang Songs of Korea Vol. 117: Cha Hak Chol’s Composition Songs of Korea Vol. 58 I find it fascinating to seek out very obscure and hard to find music! Some people may think it’s crazy to spend a lot of money on a cd but I feel like if I value the music it’s worth my money! I hope you continue to come across bands that excite you! A local pal of mine released the Nausea record in the UK in 1990. It was everywhere in local UK stores for a while. Those dudes, Citizens Arrest, and the mighty Rorschach were such a relief from the New York HC and crossover we'd been buying on import (although I still dig Crumbsuckers, some YOT, and Straight Ahead). Ooooooh, original artwork Realm of Chaos, nice. The rarest things I have are still pretty common, though out of print. My rarest ones are CDs of the first 4 Pantera albums (the 80’s heavy/glam metal ones from Metal Magic to Power Metal), the self titled first release from the Swedish band “Wolf” (which has abysmal cover art by Hans Arnold who also did art for Duran Duran), and three of the Black Sabbath IRS records releases (Forbidden, Tyr, and Headless Cross). Edit: I also have the 40th anniversary Cirith Ungol Frost and Fire box set with two vinyls, four CDs, a commemorative book, and a poster. Don’t know how I forgot that.

Killers is my favorite Maiden album....also "Wrathchild" is misspelled on the OG '88 version as "Wratchild". Great video btw! Collecting physical media is definitely not the cheapest of hobbies, but like you said, its all about WHAT you want to have in your collection. I personally like to have the version that came out in its original release year, if possible. I had in my collection the Priest re-issues that made the cool pic on the spines, but recently went back and bought all of the original cd's .....it was both fun, frustrating and sometimes expensive but WORTH IT!

The rarest things I own that I know of are Internal Bleeding-Perpetual Degradation ep, Iron Maiden self titled and killers first American press on vinyl, First four Sabbath albums on vinyl, Cannibal Corpses-Butchered at Birth picture disk, death-symbolic (metal blade press), and the rarest thing I own has too be my Vampire Sound box from Japan.

To my knowledge (and off the top of my head) the rarest parts of my collection are: Type O Negative "None More Negative" LP collection, Pink Floyd "Delicate Sound of Thunder" and "The Wall" on minidisc, Saw Throat "Inde$troy" original press LP, Bloodborne OST 2xCD Japan import, Napalm Death "Scum" original press LP, Mayhem "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" Century Black cassette, No Cash/ Team Spider "Summertime In The City" split CD (I lucked out finding it in the 1$ bin at a record store in Lancaster PA when attending my cousin's wedding, Drown "Tribute Cetacean" with painting and LPs but no CD, and finally my most recent rarity is the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted by Lawrence Leighton-Smitg & Dimitri Kityenko's "The Moscow Sessions" original 3LP collector's set which was given to me by a friend who was present during the recording sessions and I believe is credited in the box (I haven't checked because it's still unopened)

Some of my rare pieces are both Black Aria's from Glenn Danzig first editions, Dark Angel first editions on Combat records, The County Medical Examiners first edition with the dead body scratch-n-sniff, The Nefilim first edition signed by Carl McCoy, both of the Ravenous albums first editions, both Hidden albums featuring Killjoy, Haxxan, Cabal, and both Wurdulak albums first editions, Pentagram Review, Sub, and Show 'em How first editions. That's just a few of the tasty chunks I've got... the lesson boys and girls is buy when it's first released and never let it go.

Just got a 1997 ten torments of the damned 7 inch from cattle decap. According to discogs, around 600-700 people list it in their collection so it's not exceedingly rare, but I think it's cool to have considering cattle decap is such a different band now and none of the members in the band appeared on TTOTD.

Ohh lots of cool stuff between your rare itens! I think I do not own rare stuff Just hard to come by, the ones that come to mind are the demo discs of Van Canto - Hero, Hammerfall - Glory to the Brave. Two CDs that are exclusive to radio stations Madder Mortem - Deadlands and Grave - as rapture comes. I also have a few of First demos and EPs of a Brazilian band called Locomotrio. And two CDs that are really hard to see, at least I think, King Diamond and the Black Rose 20 years ago a night of rehearsal and a Rammstein compilation that have a baby birth as the cover, the name of the album I don't remember but there are a lot of songs by other banda such as Clawfinger and Marilyn Manson.

Most expensive CD I own is def the killer7 soundtrack. Got it near mint for half the price it typically goes for, complete steal.

I have that same copy of the Bolt Thrower & happen to find it for $8 at the punk rock flea market in Philly. Also have the Misfits one which I paid $12 or $13 at a record shop in Philly. Didn’t even know about the rarity of it til after I got home & was listening to it while online.

The only time I paid for a $65 cd was Rosicrucian-“Silence” it was one of the hardest albums to find, I think it’s out of print.

I had that Samhain box set but I sold it off a while back since the plastic tray disintegrated and I have all the music on other discs. I do have the skate deck with the art and a promo window poster of it though. I have a text label initium I got signed by Glenn and Steve, the og vinyl boot of final descent, and November coming fire. I've got all varients of the Samhain tribute comp that Ghoul and midnight are on, one copy is signed by fermentor and Athenar and another is a one of one copy. I have a bloodfreak test press, the impaled northern moonforest 12 inch that's hand numbered, and a first press of Mentors you axed for it signed by Dr. Heathen scum (got that signed when I opened for them). Tons of other neat shit too but I can't keep bragging like a douche lol.

i have what is probably a rare record from the 60’s, (i cant think of the year exactly) it’s not rock nor metal, but i say it’s rare because i can’t find much information about it on the internets and none of the major music streaming services have it. you probably won’t care about it, but it was a nice find

at home we have a store where people donate books, dvds and cds. I've found a couple pretty rare releases from local punk bands that way. I assume its from moms discovering their kids cd collection and donating it lol

i think the rarest music i own is a beatles fan club christmas single, a lot of them are just john and paul fucking about singing carols but they were very limited even back in the 60's and are now worth hundreds so i'm pretty glad i found it, as far as metal goes i have a weird venom compilation called acid queen, have no idea if it's rare or not but i ask other venom fans and they always tell me that acid queen was never an album they'd heard of tho they did recognise the song titles on the cd from other releases.

I got super lucky finding every Grief album OG pressing for $65. Couldn't believe how much they were all worth when I catalogued them on discogs

My most proud and rarest CD I own is Purest Feeling by Nine Inch Nails. For those who are unaware, Purest Feeling is the demo version of Nine Inch Nails first album Pretty Hate Machine. I paid about 115 bucks for it.

Probably the rarest I own is the deluxe edition of Type O's Bloody Kisses with the explicit lesbian kiss artwork. I think I only paid 15, probably because the case is a bit worn. Still nice.

Pretty cool. The rarest cd that i own is probably Twilight of the Idols by Gorgoroth with the original church cover. I also have a signed cd of sovereign by Ruadh and a signed cd by Vermilia. I won both cd's in a contest so i am pretty happy about that :D

All later pressings are brickwalled and don't have as much dynamic range. Not gonna say it's "essential" but it's damn cool, for sure! - Sinister - Cross the Styx, original European CD, again w/ original mastering. Can't confirm but I've heard the same deal, all later pressings were brickwalled to some degree. Have all classic Sinister stuff original also, for what it's worth. - Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos, 1991 relativity pressing (yellow disc). Found it for $5 in an FYE back in the day, one of my greatest "steals" for sure! - Disharmonic Orchestra - Not to be Undimensional Conscious, original 1992 press. Not *too* rare but I found it in Goodwill and paid like $2 - Christ Agony - Moonlight, original 1994 press. I think the rarest album I own is an Original UK release gatefold 1970 Black sabbath paranoid. Bought it for 20 bucks, people sell it for around 300.

I've got all three of the original pressing Plan 9 Caroline Samhain Studio Albums on CD. They cost me about $60 each for Ititium and NCF and $40 for Final Descent the seller knocked off $10 because he had in in a box full of cd's in his garage for 20 years and it was filthy. I swapped cases and cleaned it and now it looks brand new. I also grabbed a Bootleg Vinyl of Initium on Opaque Calluna Purple colour for $40 because I know they'll never be repressed on Vinyl. So I figured ahh what the hell, I usually don't go out of my way to buy Bootlegs. That Samhain Boxset is wicked even though the albums are in cardboard sleeves which normally would drive me insane. haha
