These are the times i realize how old this game is... We arived to a point, where we feel nostalgia about stuff that happened in the past. Like how i grabbed my friends to grind out the year one pirate legend title, to get the hurdy gurdy. Or the time when Rare hosted a competition about telling a story that happened in the game, and visualize it somehow. And despite all that, i still suck at pvp :)

As a certified boomer all I have is the day one eyepatch and sniper as well as the hungering deep bits. I treasure them dearly.

I was really proud when completing the Bristling Barnacle set. The visual is quite unique despite being too simple.

I've got the golden pirate legends, got the day one patch(missed the 1000 day), got the black sea dog, got the full original bone crusher set, you missed the content creator sails, got the forsaken shores set, I got a few others on this list can't remember off hand, got a few other rare sets too. The content creation crew sails aren't super special, but are unique. Their white sails with a golden bird holding a scroll with the rare logo on them.

A mention for rare cosmetics should also go to the frostbite set. With how hard humble and generous gifts art to find these days, I’ll probably never earn those.

For me, I’m getting pretty close to finishing the midnight prowler set and with its change it for some reason set me to 73 instead of the amount I had before. So basically I have another 27 to get. They really do look nice.

I don't mind if there are some specific recolors that are out of my reach, but when there's something really cool like those captain chest sails and they were just out of my reach due to family time I get a bit upset. It's just pixels guys, can we at least have the really cool stuff back?

The rarest item I have is the lantern to the festival of the damned, a lantern that is a skull the glows entirely in the flame you have equipped, I only know like 5 other people who have that lantern. It was only available in 2018 for the first Halloween event

When I first joined, I was poking around in dukes shop after getting some doubloons and purchased the mercenary hull, but I did not realize the rest of the set was time limited, so I did not bother with the rest. Now I have the mercenary hull and nothing else.

Correction, you do not have to complete all Siren Song commendations to get Briggsy's mask. I have her mask and I have not completed Siren Song. Its like 50 turn ins to get the mask.

While not on the list, as the game's life goes on, all of the various Arena Cosmetics will eventually become rare. These include the Glorious Sea Dog (GSD) set, the Triumphant Sea Dog (TSD) set, the Legendary Sea Dog (LSD) Weapon set, and finally the various Arena Ship sets, the Good Boy set being the rarest of all six

Still mad the forsaken ashes set is incomplete. The commensations still exist

What about Mayhem set? Don’t see anyone talking about them let alone using them, and the Borderlands anniversary last year (or the movie later this year) would have been the perfect time to rerelease them

Im surprised not seeing the "Vanguard Sails" being on here because you had to play during the technical alpha. But they are maybe not on here because you didnt know about it, so would call it then extremely rare.

In the earlier years of sea of thieves me and my friend wouldn’t like it when we had the same ship sets. We couldn’t decide which ones each of us would get. So when we both wanted a ship set we would split it. 1 of us would get 1/2 of it and the other would get the other 1/2. My friend had to get a new microsoft account so now i just have 1/2 of a lot of these rarer sets 😭

The captain key always spawns on lost voyages. Skill gap if you can’t find it

After completing 102% of the game I got Mirror Sail that mirrors the surrounding areas so attack's are quite rare

The only, ONLY, rare clithing item I have is the arena courage boots or whatever they're called, I consider everything from 2020 and before as rare, and that's the only thing that fits the bill, honestly I wish they would give out one clothing set a year to anyone who played during that year, the "be on between these days" cosmets are a bit frustarting, like I was playing the game back then, I just didn't play during that time, and I have nothing to show for it

I've been hunting the Ghost down for quite some time and even streaming every session like a life-long documentary. Too hear that it's spawn rate has gone down lower makes me a little saddened but as long as I keep trying, I'm sure I'll get it someday. Until then, I'm slaying each and every megalodon that gets in my way like a normal pokemon shiny hunt. One day. One day I will find you. Shrouded Ghost. And I will continue to share my shanty about you to all on the sea of thieves... Im also grinding the sea of thieves insiders to appropriately honor my first cat who passes away at 16 in October of 2022. The Alabaster Wildcat looks EXACTLY like him Other than that. I think my rarest item from the ones you listed is the Serpent's Lie Sails that was given to me by HitboTC after I sang my Summon The Megalodon shanty to him. And the Killer Whale Set because that's my favorite trading company (especially as a meg hunter)
