I love how "Limited Edition" has really lost its meaning. Just because it says limited edition doesn't mean its rare. The Pikachu 3DS wasn't exclusive to the Pokemon store they sold them in Wal-Mart and GameStop in the US. I saw them multiple times. People love to throw an enormous price on something simply because it says "Limited Edition". Its only a limited edition if there were a set number produced 1/100 for example.

Not a skin s complete shell. Sell them on ebay, just mention it's a ds, if they assume something it's on them. ALso just modifying shells if they are from a good quality manufacture can make them sell for a lot. All for just changing the colors of the buttons and shell, about 5 bucks and 20 minutes of labor.n I sold xbox controllers for 200$ on ebay easily, but now there more main stream.

Well I did wind up easily finding the Pikachu 3DS XL for a mere two hundred, and I advise others to buy it well it is still this cheap, I must say that the rarity could increase soon because nobody realizes that the 3D camera makes it look like Pikachu has nipples.

nope in regions other then japan they weren't an exclusive limited additions and were just normal limited additions.so if it isn't japanese it isn't rare and is just a common one.

Fun fact: Mew is actually the most common legendary via giveaway. it's had the most. The one that is the rarest is a tie between Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion.

i have a pirates of the Caribbean ds. Apparently there were only 1500 given out at Disneyland at the premiere of pirates at worlds end (which my mother attended) now im sad that its missing the stickers. cause it now looks like any old black ds

My favorite limited edition system of all time is easily the extreme green Gameboy Pocket. The see-through fluorescent green/yellow systems were Toy R' Us exclusives if I remember right. Nintendo also produced and N64 in this color. Gameboy pockets like these still go for 80-100 in very used and incomplete condition. Still, I must have one. Some day...

Common? They aren't like Nintendo Playstation rare, but you still can't find one in decent condition for under $70 anymore. Even then, most of them have missing battery doors and dingy decals. I'm getting a beat up one since I found a good source for battery doors, screen glass, and factory decals.

+RandomTens Technically, Mew is the rarest Mythical Legendary for Americans. Japan has gotten more times to get Mew than USA but we have had it easier with Jirachi and Japan has it more difficult with Jirachi. ^_^

5327indarkness no, limited doesnt mean rare, you got your facts 100% wrong, tell you what that medal of honor warfight said limited edition, you know ho bmany were sold that were limited? ALL, need for speed limited edition from 2011 was aswell limited edition 100% of their limited stock was sold NONregulsr version were sold , so not because something says limited its rare, thats completly different abd varies from peoduct to product.

I have got many rare systems that you don t talk about and they are 1000 times more rare than those on your video... 3DS XL pokemon trozei ( 4 made ) 3DS XL denny s restaurant pokemon ( 10-20made ) 3DS XL gamestop ( 25 made each kyogre groudon ) DSi world championship 2009 and dsi xl 2010 and more... this video isn t a bad idea but most of the DS and 3DS on your video aren t so rare at all

Hey RandomTen, did you notices that New Super Mario Bros. 2 Limited Handheld System (New Super Mario Bros. 2 Gold Edition) are now rarest Nintendo 3Ds XL bundle that release in Walmart for exclusive? This system might be also release in Black Friday since 2013/2014 since at Walmart and GameStop stores (in website), It did cost at least 130$ but some of them cost 120$ and some of them cost 180$-200$?

You forgot the Pokepark limited edition blue DS original that is very similar to the Mew one and has Pokepark on the back and a blue silhouette of Pikachu on the front. It was only available to be purchased at the Pokepark traveling theme park.

I managed to snag a Majoras Mask N3DS XL (thankfully), but I'd definitely put it on this list. Like, seriously. That thing sold out faster than a Lucina Amiibo. Good Luck getting one for under $500

I remember the day Pikachu 3DS came out I waited outside GameStop and they only had 2 along with every other store, and then saw 2 in store for a good few months at Meijer. it was rare at the time but this may have changed.

I found a Mew DS under a truck. I had to use all my strength to push the truck of the way. It had a sticker saying "HOAX" but still worked.

You've forgotten about the animal crossing ds's only 2 were ever made and were given out to winners of designing a animal crossing character. Only one is known to exist now and is in the hands of the original collector Simon Flesser I think he name is. The winter variant winner has never been found

I got the Pikachu 3DS when it first came out. Lucky to get on eBay for a fair price. I love it so much.

I have the pikachu 3ds :) and I have met someone with the toad ds at the zelda concert. Feel privileged.

That pikachu 3ds... I don't have one, but it reminds me of when my original ds lite broke... Like I don't exactly remember how, maybe one of the screen displays broke, I'm not sure... But I do remember my parents, loving me, going to the level of finding someone to repair it, and the repair even gave me a custom pikachu skin in it. But sadly.... It didn't even fix the issue. I think I got a new dsi out of it tho. And now I'm getting a new Nintendo 2ds XL, my fourth ds system.

i've had a couple limited edition handhelds in the past, and actually use one now. (the MH4U N3DS) My DS XL was for the 25th SMB anniversary and has a nice red color with a star, super mushroom and fire flower on it. That 3DS signed by Miyamoto from the NWC this year should be a contender. The funny thing is that I've heard that some Pokemon TCG players will sell off the handheld they win just to get more cards.
