I'm the same, they were the first band I ever really connected to at age 13 :D I'm 27 now (so it's been 14 years for me too^^) and I still don't really know what "their handwriting" as you call it really is. I agree, though, that it is strongly noticeable here too - and it took me a moment too to appreciate this newest version of it^^ It is strange, but I'm weirdly synced with them.^^ Somehow, when I go through a rough time, suddenly a song presents itself to me. I might have listened to it a thousand times but suddenly a line stands out and tells me exactly what I needed to hear - not as advice but as the next step to get me out of the rut and start find my answer to whatever was the trouble. When I went on the journey that I had longed for half my life - a day before that I first heard "New World". I am not explaining it well. It sounds cliché and cheesy the way I'm saying it, but they have helped me a lot in their own strange way. I wish I could thank them one day :)

I agree with you! I'm a new fan and none of their albums have disappointed me, from their Funk to Pop Rock era. I'll be sure to follow them from this point on waiting for their new music

You'll be around 26 now-i hope you've more of an idea of who you are now! I didn't know who I was at 16 either but I eventually grew into myself-although I'm now 40 and still don't know fully who I am in some circumstances but I've learned that it's ok to be like that 😊

@@Martin-cl8ky Yes, 27 actually! I feel like I know a little better, but I'm still working on it. I agree that it's okay, and in a way, people grow and change all the time, so perhaps we are all just on an endless journey of finding ourselves. Or not, and maybe in another 10 years I'll have finally figured it out! :D
