I've never heard anyone else talk about this... #aoe2

In the latest update Bengalis lost Parthian Tactics and their Rathas were given extra armor and bonus damage to spearmen to compensate, including having a little bit of that in Castle Age. Regardless this means that Rathas converted by other civilizations would be even better, especially if they have Parthian Tactics.

Yep, solid buff for this exploit! I may do a follow up on this video (the audio recording is a little rough anyway), because now you can get crazy stats like 8MA 10 PA on Tatar (Elite) Rathas

The Admiral sounds like he is underwater. His transport ship must have collided with a demo.

I didnt have any expectation on this video, but i learned aoe2 mechanic that i have not known since 1999. Maybe niche and not quite useful but very interesting and i may exploit the mechanic some other day. Thx a lot for the video.

As soon as I saw the title of the video I remembered a video from either Spirit of the Law or T-west, I don't remember which one, about villagers not keeping their bonuses after conversion and I predicted this would be the hidden ability.

Hey you nailed it! Most people would have no idea TBH
@thomasfplm2 күн бұрын
@@AdmiralWololo, the only reason was the video I mentioned. If not for that I would have no idea either. That's a really obscure mechanic.

And now I know Saracens are the only civ to have FU Generic Rathas! With this knowledge, I shall inflict DOMINATION.

Wouldn't this also apply to the Konnik? Well the unmounted version at least
@AdmiralWololoАй бұрын
Good question, but no. (t seems similar but it's a different mechanic and the original research/bonus stats are preserved for the dismounted version.

Seems very interesting this kind of mechanical features. But i have a question: Is it possible to replicate the switching between ranged and melee mode among other units, whether on the Genie or the editor?
@AdmiralWololoАй бұрын
Yep, you can do it with Modding or the Scenario Editor
@alejandroortiz3227Ай бұрын
@@AdmiralWololo Ok. Next question is, what's the actual process for such thing, for example how to put the switch button, for example from a knight, to a cav. archer, without making a graphic reskin of the rath unit?
@AdmiralWololoАй бұрын
@@alejandroortiz3227 What you do is use the Modify Attribute Trigger to add 8 to the "Unit Trait" of both switch units, and set the "Trait Piece" of each of them to the unit ID of the other unit (unit IDs can be found in the Advanced Genie Editor)

I'd recommend recording your audio through your phone if getting a new mic isnt an option. It's really hard to understand you

This was my last video before getting a new mic. Subsequent videos have better audio

No love for the Georgians? Regenerating Rathas that take less population space can be useful.
@AdmiralWololoАй бұрын
Unfortunately the Georgian regen is implemented in a unit-specific way, only for scoutline, knightline, monaspas, cav archers (the unit), and genitours, so it doesn't apply to Rathas.
