I had this Exact conversation with My Uncle about a year ago, I was telling him that intelligent life on earth is such a small period of time considering how old the earth is. And comparing living organisms to something like an aeroplane, car or "Dices" just shows a lack of understanding of the bigger picture. We are Lucky To Be alive, the earth was uninhabitable for billions of years we are just lucky that the conditions changed to support life. Conditions on earth are still changing, I think I read somewhere that if dinosaurs would have survived they would be extinct by now anyway because of the changes in atmospheric pressure.
