Prag fought well from a disastrous position where all of his active pieces are in the backrank...all credits to Ding....Prag showed the glimpse of his fighting spirit though.

@@songoku-jx3cb lol that's the most absurd comment I've seen. Actually Gukesh stands a great chance against Ding. Gukesh is clearly the favorite. His form is much better than Ding who is ranked lower in chess rating

@@AM-uo1iq yes but ding can make sudden comebacks which he proved in wc against ian . Wc still has some time you never know what can happen . But i agree that if the current form of ding remains . It will be very hard for him to retain his title .

Fantastic game by Ding, there were tons of complications with little time and he showed his class navigating a tough conversion with quick thinking and good nerves. Go champ!

Why 5 secs? It should have at least 10 secs for Pragg and 5 secs for Ding.

this format is weird. question: do armageddon games affect their classical rating? if not, this is gonna be nothing but classical draws and stupid armageddons for an entire tournament

No, Armageddon won't affect their classical ratings. And yeah , for player like Magnus who can win almost every Armageddon game and here and there win 1 or 2 classical game. Which makes him the tournament winner but still he lose some classical ratings 😂.

They are here to win the Norway chess champion title, I think this is much more important. And everyone is supposed to fight to win in classical because you get three points from that, equals to two wins in armageddon.

You forgot...there are 3 points for victory in classical game and only 1.5 for win in Armageddon. You can't win the tournament only by winning armageddons!

The time shown is when the players made their move, that game is on Lichess and doesn't show live timer. The only time the clock is running is when you see the game live.

@@31redorange08Sp basically both player each show how many time they have on the game, the one who wager lower time count play black, and the one who is higher play white. White have to win in order to win the match, but black only have to draw to win. This format is to ensure there's at least a winner.
