Michael Corleone Blanco, youngest son of Godmother Griselda Blanco, reveals that director Billy Corben “almost got that knock on the door” after his mother heard about the Cocaine Cowboys documentary, talks about his brother Uber's murder, and how he broke the cycle of violence that took the lives of his brothers and his parents.
In ‘The Real Griselda,’ Michael Corleone Blanco and Cocaine Cowboys director Billy Corben react to the new Netflix series starring Sofía Vergara and tell the real stories behind the myths.

Yeah the Netflix series was ridiculous. It didn’t come off as authentic at all. You would think the people who created Narcos could do something special with Griselda’s story. Instead they made a series that is more fairytale than bio-pic.

Yes, especially when people take on to tell their Family story, without consulting them first. It’s the personal story, it’s very painful trauma, And I could see how it disregards their own paste to healing and revealing their own truth at a time of their choosing.

WHY did this have to end!? Seeing the growth of Mike especially in this episode is something to admire. I'm also Colombian, we're family oriented. Losing your family the way Mike did and taking the higher road over revenge is really inspiring. THank you for the great content since 2006. Thank you Mike, I hope we get more videos. I know this has nothing to do with the horrors he has seen but as someone who can personally relate to having PTSD after watching my mom suffer from pancreatic cancer for 5months, screaming from the pain and laying on the floor shaking and praying to God, and then having to watch her die in my arms…..I know PTSD and it’s a struggle every day. Seeing it over and over again and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it but cry and continue to carry that pain and emptiness in your heart. What Michael is doing is admirable and says a lot about how strong he is. Having to talk about the stories over and over again when you already think about those times constantly, it’s a lot.. and I deeply sympathize.

Michael thank you for sharing your life with us, I truly feel honored to be able to hear the story of your mother through you. I don’t know how this landed on my suggestions but I clicked it and have tuned into every episode and watched every one, you and your families story explains to us the struggle, the triumphs, the good, bad, and ugly, along with your own personal redemption story to where you broke free of the curse of the cartel lifestyle you were brought into. Your family would be proud of you for telling their stories and still diving them the dignity and positive words they deserve. Although they did bad, they did good, your mother took care of hundreds of children who weren’t hers, your mother had a heart! I understand some people may have been affected and would not want me to glorify her actions, however that time was a different time, and to stand on respect means to enforce it, and I appreciate you sharing that with us. 🙏🏼❤️

This is really good and authentic. I’m 1/2 Colombian but the only family I’ve known are Colombian. My father was from Miami. Born in ‘74 I lived through the 80s visiting as a kid and 90s deciding to keep my relationship with Colombia, traveling when it wasn’t recommended. Everyone was affected by the violence and then narco/guerrilla situation. It’s a beautiful country rich with culture. We want the positive side to be known but the gangster side makes a better movie.

Absolute masterpiece of a series. i would like to thank you and Michael for such a in-depth personal view on his life and family. The first episode or two i thought Michael had alot of his story points almost scripted or practiced to perfect. but as the series continued he opened up and revealed his unscripted feelings and experiences. this episode's emotion was especially powerful. Michael made the right choice in the end, he already lost everything to this. I will be buying the book and once again i thank you both for this amazing series. i only wish it could continue.
