Actually, the originally planned gay pride flag was 9 stripes; there was a cyan stripe that was supposed to come before the blue, but it apparently was basically scrapped, if I remember correctly, because when the creator of the pride flag, Gilbert Baker passed away, a parade was held in memory of him, and they had removed cyan so they could split the colors evenly into three lines in a row, one set of three lines to the left, and the other to the right, like this ❤️🧡💛 💚💙💜, and they had people walk down each line for said parade. I read all of this on the internet (along with the fact that apparently, the cyan stripe was supposed to represent art 🎨🎭 & music 🎵🎶), but I unfortunately can't remember where... At least I've got people out this way. Gorgeous rivers in Ohio, and gorgeous storms. I'll definitely miss the water and the kayaking, but it had to be done.
