It makes me think of the American sailors that I saw as a child, disembarking from boats in the port of the city in south of France where I lived at that time. We were all delighted and curious to hear them speaking. I already dreamed of speaking this curious and wonderful language… and I hope I’m not that far from it… I’m so thrilled and impatient! 😅

"I played" - you're talking about the ACTION "I have played" - you're talking about YOUR EXPERIENCE of doing the action
