☝️😝 💵Money 💵solves all problems no matter where you live. If your barely getting by, under stress, dealing with long work ours, traffic, etc,, then even living in heaven will seem like Hell.

here are a few more cons, income tax, Mella-roos tax, insurance companies leaving and raising rates, fires, mudslides, earthquakes, homeless, and don't forget the sunshine tax

The only way you're going to get a detached, single-family home for $800k is if it is in a bad neighborhood or at the extreme ends of the county, or is bungalow size like 1000-1200 sf. I live in east county in a 1950s built home and it is worth about $1.1 million.

I always tell people they need a household income of $150k-$200k to live a reasonable middle class lifestyle in San Diego. Even more if you have kids.

Pros: weather, food, community colleges, beaches, good looking (albeit shallow) humans Cons: you can't afford any of the above while also purchasing a home so who cares lol
