What did you think of "Cake Boss"?

Regardless of what people think I loved watching him ice and decorating cakes.

I used to love watching Cake Boss on TLC. Every employee had their own talent, wether it was baking the sponges, decorating, or washing pans, Team work makes the Dream work! I’m in the Uk. I wish Buddy and all his family nothing but the best in their future.

Buddy's bakery was good years ago when he primarily had Italian pastries and bread, but his cakes were never really fresh, because he never sold enough cakes to get fast turnover. It was because of the hype of the show, people from the NYC area would pay for the extremely overpriced cakes. He seems like a good family guy, I wish him well, but his cakes are not worth the high price. Go to a regular bakery, you'll get a fresher nicer cake for a much lower price.

Buddy has a great family unit. Proud to have them as neighbors. God Bless Valestro family.

I used to watch Buddy vs Duff until my husband pointed out to me that every time Buddy lost he would have a temper tantrum yelling at the director, producers and he did this every time he lost, such a crybaby 😂😂😂😂

All I can say is that.If I was on a TV show.And I lost both of my parents.I’d definitely stop filming for a while.

I really liked Cake Boss until I watched, Buddy vs Duff. My thoughts totally changed about Buddy because he’s such a sore loser and a big baby.

LOVED the show! I think 2 things caused a great downfall. It seems when he built the big 'factory' to help with cakes, quality suffered for quantity. He kept wanting to go bigger and 'better' and it didn't work. The bigger the cakes got, the worse they looked. The shows with just the original Carlos Bakery cakes and pastries were the BEST! Second, I lost most of my respect for him when I watched Buddy vs Duff. His reaction to losing made me sick. I kept watching following seasons because I enjoyed the show, but it was obvious when he lost that he had a hard time controlling his outrage! You could see he so badly wanted to have a fit again and had to work HARD to keep control! I'm sure he was forewarned at EVERY judging. I still have those early years of Cake Boss in my heart and give the whole family my condolences and best wishes.

His decorating staff is amazing! He knows his stuff. At the same time, because the bulk of the baked goods are made in Hoboken and shipped, you're not always getting the freshest stuff. I tried a couple of items from the Carlo's near where my mother lives. The crumb cake was okay; the lobster tail was amazing. I find it amusing to watch him and Duff Goldman go at it. Believe it or not, Duff is the older of the two! Duff went through traditional channels to learn his craft, going to cooking school and such. Buddy learned his craft on the job. I think Buddy looks older because he's been through so much stress, and because he's much more of a Type A personality than Duff.

It doesn’t really matter what TV network a show is. As viewers, we hardly remember the network! But, we watch the show … wherever it is!!! So, The Cake Boss and his shows can go anywhere, and he will be watched!

I loved watching the show and the family. Very talented man and a lot of his family and co workers🎂

In my opinion, Buddy got "too big for his britches." He seems to have a big ego and the attitude that goes with it. He is enamored with himself and his abilities. When his show started I loved watching it and his creativity, but as time passed not so much. The last straw for me was during the first season of "Buddy vs Duff." He was so demeaning and arrogant towards Duff. I still can't get over the temper tantrum Buddy threw when he lost to Duff.

I love the family. Hard workers and there for each other.

I always had a love for baking.I grew up watching Cake boss on the TV and Buddy is my inspiration for baking

So sorry to hear of the loss of Buddy's mom. I used to love watching The Cake Boss and I went to two of his shows and I have his book. I stopped watching it, as I no longer had cable TV and I started working a lot more hours, so I didn't have time to watch TV any more.

I never liked him, always to cocky. I like Duff more because he’s down to earth and not so full of himself.

I ordered by mail the cannoli’s. VERY VERY overpriced for what you received. The filling was meh.

Yup, I remember this time slot. Buddy was quite a bit younger & so was the rest of the family. The whole family was in process of grieving over the loss of his mother’s death. So, ever since you’ve moved to A&E it may be harder for me to watch it. But congratulations on your successful journey in your business career. I will say that I really like your family cooking together when you do; yummy 😋! I’d really like to try out your foods along with your family members, cause you all really seem to be quite close to this day! That’s awesome! I wish my siblings would include me into their plans & holiday fun, but clearly they’d prefer not to because I don’t believe in their drinking alcohol drinking habits & their cursing speech, seems they’d rather not change their foolish ways in order to create special memories with me their youngest sibling! His show became so antiquated ‼️

to me he seemed more like a showman in the end than a cakemaker.. it was sugar x10000 and different kinds of colour.. it had nothing to do with baking in the end.

Cake Boss was a great show I'm glad that I got to watch it Buddy had really good ideas on how to decorate cakes but his cakes were to sweet with the fondant and the frosting I'm glad that he recovered from surgery and good luck in the future Buddy I hope that you come back on tv❤

Just like other cooking , baking shows. Gets stale the grandeur and less about real people that watch show. The flaws show more. Us regular people will go where the taste and price is right, hopefully kind people.

I watched a few episodes of this show. His family were a bunch of whiners and that got on my last gay nerve real fast.

Am really happy for him that he recovered well & he is still doing good on his business part, I always like his cake designs he is good 👍

He has an extremely large ego. I lost respect for him on the first show of Buddy vs Duff when he got mad because Duff won and pouted like a child. Too many outrageous cakes that can’t be fresh.

The show was interesting but Buddy always seemed kind of cranky to me, and too much into himself. I didn't know that since then these things had happened, like hurting his hand. For all the family though I hope things keep going well, but that none of the kids get pressured into a job they aren't truly interested in.

Buddy never gives up. Keep moving forward.

I lost both my parents with a terrible family situation and I went through a divorce it greatly impacted my legal career in my life busdy get back on your feet you can do it your talent is in your blood get back on your feet you'll be just fine God-bless you

I'm from Hoboken and his cakes were not a draw to the bakery, everyone loved those Italian cookies. He's charming and not a bad guy, blue collar decent people. I am not a fan of frosting, the cakes are beautiful but I love just simple vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting, preferably from stop and shop which is a super market.

Look 👀! At the end, his show was about family. Whose family would work as well together? Buddy and his family are used to rising together. That’s why I watched his show.

The few times I watched this show he and his family were so mean and nasty to each other . The cakes never were that pretty either! I found these people so unpleasant!

His giant cakes never looked good. I always thought they looked really bad like the artwork was never good on them and they were never realistic looking. There are people that do realistic cakes that do way better and don’t use all rice crispy and giant chunks of modeling chocolate. People that actually use cake. And also don’t charge thousands of dollars

I liked the show. Wanted the chance to meet him at his Ridgewood Location. But I met one of the winners of his challenge show. In 2016 at my first job, SkyZone, we were told he and his family was a bad guest at the PineBrook Location. He had the kids ask for water pitchers and paper towels. They then threw the wet paper towels at the host. As well as their cake. The host was a host from our location because no one wanted to host them at the pinebrook location.
