I like the idea that Dragon was at Logue town to recruit Luffy into the RA but when he saw Luffy had chosen his own path of freedom(piracy) he let him go.

Dragon feels like a character who was introduced entirely too early. Like you can tell he's strong, you can tell he's important but he's like a guy gearing up to fight the final boss while the heroes are still in the mid game. There's no doubt that he's going to be important later, but it's frustrating to see how little we get of him now.

Garp directly said that Dragon was Luffy's father, which implies that he's been a male since birth. I'm not really a big fan of crocodile or Dragon being originally female, because ivankov said he knew the past secret about crocodile but if he's the one who made him a man then he is a part of the secret not just knows about it so I don't think crocodile or dragon have ever been anything more than they appear to be. That's just a plot twist that doesn't Aid benefit or excite really anyone

Crocodile must of been a former revolutionary. How else would he know about the ancient weapons and the importance of Alabasta? Plus, his relationship with Ivankov. Also, he formed his own well-organized force and knew how to overthrow a king much like the revolutionaries do.

Garp hear no evil. - even he knows the corruption still cannot leave the marine despite hearing and knowing what the org hides behind him. Luffy see no evil. - he always see the good in others regardless of who they are. Always wanted to fight for the good of his opponents. He even sees every good in his crewmates regardless of background. Dragon speaks no evil - inspires people with truth. He speaks for the ones that cant. his words are so pure he is considered the most dangerous just because he has charisma as we have not seen any power shown from him

I find it interesting that not many people have considered that Dragon and Garp may not be related. As taking the family sir name that are more prominent is very common in Asian countries. So Dragon may have also married into the family as well

No one ever talks about the Dragon Claw that Sabo uses in Dressrosa. It seems like an incredibly powerful move and I would guess it was taught to Sabo by Dragon himself. I would assume Dragon’s version of the move is far more powerful than Sabo’s.

I can't see Dragon as Luffy's mom a possibility but... did they ever refer to Garp as Monkey D. Garp? I don't recall. I think there could be a possibility that Garp is not Dragon's father but instead his father-in-law. If this is true, it leaves open the possibility of Dragon being the son of Roger or Xebec.

Dragon is one of the greatest masterminds in anime. He has connections in all the high echelons of the government, his father in the Navy, Vegapunk in the secret services, Kuma in the Sichibukai and probably Aokiji in the underworld and Shanks in the Yonkou and from his son he has Drum, Arabasta, Gyojin Island and Dressrosa as allies. He has managed to besiege the World Government from various fronts and fields, with his revolutionary army in the military field, with the kingdoms sympathetic to Luffy in the diplomatic field, with Aokiji in the economic field and with Luffy and his allies in the pirate field. This is a great chess game.

I Like the Air logia theory if he was an admiral prior and it makes the most sense especially since all (original) admirals are logias. But the idea of his DF being a ThunderBird of native American Mythology would make sense due to his appearance being similar to that of a native American with his tattoo (and ohara even compared to shandorians which are modelled off native american culture). His hair even has an eagles peak and in the flashback with Ivonka she mentions how Dragon always faces the same way and that some animals have a homing instinct. Birds being the most recognised animal of that natural homing instinct compass.

My theory is that Dragon is Xebec's son. Garp adopted him, when he and roger fought Xebec. Then later, dragon fell in love with Garp's daughter. Another proof is that Garp always says to luffy that you are the son of my child. He never mentions which child... Which means dragon is his son in law. When roger saw garp adopting xebec, he also gave his son (ace) to him....

I think the fact that Ryouma has "dragon" on his dress is more like a lore-related thing. You know, the fact that he killed a dragon and everything else. Welp, too bad the latest SBS debunks the Ushimaru being Zoro's dad theory. Other than that, this is quite enlightening. It's also nice to see three different generations of a family and how they dealt with the world they were born into. Garp joined the marines, probably young and idealistic and probably wanted to protect the weak. Dragon became a revolutionary even becoming the leader realizing change doesn't come through the system. Luffy becomes a Pirate to become the person with the most freedom, The Pirate King. I think they'll all have their role in the end.

I really like the theory that Dragon is Rocks' son and Garp is Luffy's maternal grandfather. It's known that Dragon is Luffy's father, and Garp is Luffy's grandfather, but no one has ever referred to Dragon as Garp's child. That's the main argument I have against the super off the wall theory about Ivankov. If Dragon were Luffy's mother I think that would still be considered a huge black mark against Garp that would get him kicked out of the Navy (at the very least). I guess you could argue that Garp's reputation within the Navy is so strong that no one ever calls him on it, but you would think that someone like Akainu would have brought it up at some point that Garp's son/daughter is the worst criminal alive. But I don't think that's true. Garp wanted Luffy to be in the Navy and yet he never raised him like he did Coby and Helmeppo. Why? I think it's because Garp knew even he could not protect Luffy if people knew he was Dragon's son. I think the only reason Garp is still in the Navy is because Dragon is only his son by marriage. Anyone directly connected to Dragon is too dangerous to the World Government. That's why Luffy ends up getting stashed with Ace instead of being directly raised to be an officer.

i think the reason that Dragon becomes the most wanted man is because the Revolutionary Army is constantly confront and openly trying to take down the world government. while Yonkou is more like the pirates, they refuse to obey the government's law but they don't directly confront them. heck, even Kaido had many transactions with the government in the black market, even though with the help of Joker (Doflamingo) as their broker. lol

Unfortunate timing for the Zoro being Ushimaru's son theory being disconfirmed by Oda himself in the latest SBS. Still probably have some other connection to the Shimotsuki clan tho

About the tattoo thing, I actually have a fun headcannon that when D's people had an angsty episode that made them unbalanced and changed their life, they'll get a tattoo when no one's stopping them. Cough, ASCE with S crossed just like S for Sabo in their childhood pirate flag, and then Whitebeard's symbol. Then there's Dragon, we don't know yet about this but it's obviously an important mark.
