The crazy thing is that it was still considered normal before the hit on Nurkic, he had no real flak and especially consequences before. Not just the years before it, but this specific 2024 season already, where the roundhouse punch isn't even the first or last one of the hits to his opponents.

I actually think things could be worse for Draymond now. Not only has there been not remotely enough time for him to actually learn how to control his emotions on court, but now we know damn well that the opposing players are going to ENDLESSLY chirp at him and push him to the point of losing it. It will seriously be a miracle if he doesn’t have a huge blow up against somebody during the rest of the season. Dudes are gonna “test his gangsta” every single game. And there is no way that just a few weeks of counseling has made it so that a lifetime habit of anger issues will just go away. I certainly hope I’m wrong, but I really think things could get ugly for Draymond going forward.

Look at Russ on the Lakers.

Draymond is a baby in a grown man's body. lol. He needs to act tough and assert how manly he is by unnecessarily hitting other players. The other players don't do that because they're playing basketball not MMA, but he feels so strong that way. His insecurities make him act violently and when he's put in a situation where he's getting a really light suspension and he just makes excuses and acts like a baby and say "HMPH.. Im going to retire then", just acting that way and the league really giving him the chance to be back already and sympathizing for him. @@booyoohouse In a some ways you have to credit Draymond for going his way when the league becoming circus show for the refs, I’m not sure if they having “a bad game” as well but they do pick on certain players. Fred VanVleet torched Ben Taylor last season and got fined 50K by the league. The league not holding refs accountable is what pushes these players sometimes

Draymond is not a smart and wise veteran player if he is going to be shit-talking the refs while abusing other players. It will only make the refs watch more closely to the actions he's doing on the court. Also, Draymond getting suspended had nothing to do with the refs... He's just been going crazy lately and can't control his ego and sensitivity. Smart veterans actually befriends the refs and says positive things to them, which will psychologically persuade the refs to be help that player.. There are many examples. Even Lebron throws tantrums sometimes, but he always talks kindly to the refs and sometimes he can be seen joking with them and that ultimately helps him get calls his way.

I posted comments saying maybe basketball is the last thing Draymond needs when people were discussing how can he be helped. Reason? It's probably too stressful for him and he's starting to feel like he's not able to play how he would like to..That can make such people act like Draymond is acting. all jokes aside I get where draymond is coming from... if you watch the whole video he acknowledges it would've been a very rash decision. it's a mental health thing though. sounds like he really has learned something, just hope he can keep his emotions in check better going forward. he still has to prove that ofc.
