I disagree..I'm married and my friends are single and some divorced after lengthy marriges. I understand that there are some things they do and places they go that I can't and we're all ok with that. My husband has no problem with me being out with them. You have to learn how to balance your relationship and friendships.

I used to work at The Kennedy Center after graduating college. The Color Purple was playing there and Fantasia was performing in the production. I saw her randomly one day and greeted her. She was kind and down to earth. Seems like a great person.

And my husband is best friends with the husbands, so they usually schedule them something to do when we ( the wives) go out. Its do much fun hanging out with like people.

The fact of the matter is, Fantasia was able to break into the entertainment business while she was young. She used her experience and her life lessons that she has gone through over the years to switch gears and live differently versus continuing to do the same things expecting different results. She knows what it is to live like "a celebrity" on and off the camera, and she wasn't trying to go down that slope again for the sake of "hanging out" with the cast. The woman has a family to get home to. The clock has struck midnight, and the director has said "cut." It's time for her to go on home to her family... hangout for what? She's been seeing them all day. Nothing personal.... just that work-life balance.

I appreciate Taraji's transparency, but I think she's referring to her true worth in the industry. I've never heard her push the independent woman narrative. She wanted to be married, it just didn't work out. Fantasia has similar failings, but it worked out eventually. Praying that God will give Taraji divine direction.❤

I don't mind a dinner now and again with friends, though it's very far and in-between. But with co-workers? I mean, for heaven's sake, how much time do they think I'd have to look at them? shout out to all the women who has their priorities in order!!! Years ago when my brother first got married he asked his wife to do something. My stupid cousin said 'she don't have to listen to him'. My mother checked her hard. Guess what my cousin went on to do....Get with trifling lazy good for nothing dust dude with multiple baby mamas and that dude can tell her to eat poop and she'll do it. He's even told her he ain't marrying her and she went downtown and changed her last name to his. It's okay to celebrate Fantasia without downing Taraji. Nothing is wrong with enjoying the fruits of your labor whether that is celebrating with your husband or celebrating with co workers. I like when people are blunt even if it offends others. Just simply say, "I enjoy hanging with you all on set but after filming that time is for me and my family." That way noone can misinterpret or have to tell white lies to get out of hangig with eachother.

When you're a wife and mother with a young child, your priorities are different than a single woman who depends on a social circle for fun, nurturing and support. As a wife, you move differently when you're spiritually fed at home, but there's nothing wrong with the occasional meet up with your girlfriends who are there for the long haul and supported you before you came up from the botton.

The only thing I disagree with is the Fantasia’s response. Just keep it a Buck, I would’ve said: “I appreciate your invitation, but no thank you” or just No (as that’s a complete sentence).
