The AI traffic in Slaloms be hoeing me every time tho, lol. I swear they spawn PRECISELY beside the checkpoint and the game does it intentionally.

I'm upset they didn't include the delivery contracts and taxi activities from TC2 in Motorfest. They're a huge part of what I used to do in free roam in TC2 and I really miss them now. I have the service cars, I just want them to add the activities, hoping they include them in a future update in a more fleshed-out iteration compared to what they had in TC2.

Im surprised there isn’t feats for longest jump like there is in fh5. Given the fact that there’s ramps placed around the map, I think it’s a missed opportunity unless they plan on adding it at a later date

Single player race payouts need to be increased by 20%. Currently the race payout is fine for those who can play for more than 4+ hours a day but a lot of us dont have time to play 4+ hours and dont wanna grind 1 race over and over in our limited time.

The challenges within the playlists do give you something to do while free roaming. So that makes it more interesting for me. Trigger, from the look of your mini-map, you're not into collecting any of the items or photo challenges?

Freeroam in TC2 was damn near perfection. Crossing the biomes, seeing different tracks and corners you might have missed under different conditions.. Honestly I've spend hours and hours cruising around, with snow foxes running besides my mustang.

They should add the free roam races like in nfs underground 2, I know in that game it was random ai but it would be cool to pull up to someone and send a race request and it's up to them to accept and you both race thru a kinda set line to a kinda set point.

For the Grindfest thing: I think IVT should allow us to reroll the set bonus of legendaries like we can with the affixes, but make it cost like 50K-100k so we don't have to play KMK or escapes with drag vehicles for hours on end and hope we don't get duplicates.

Biggest bug bare for me is definitely the traffic, more because its always in a very conveniently perfect place to screw up an escape or slalom, seems like a really lazy way for IVT to add difficulty, and most of the time its largely unavoidable.. like the idea of free roam feats - was one of the few great things in NFS unbound (RIP)

An amazing idea would be to have everyone in the crew set a way point and have everyone in the crew race there in free roam with a bigger amount of money the more people that are in the crew when the way point is set. This give the free roam more parts availability as well as something to do if you don’t want to do a playlist or grand race

I wish they would really fix the traffic. Just go and watch an intersection with a right turn that clearly has a turn lane. The bots aren’t equipped to handle it haha.

I've heard multiple ideas similar to the last one you mentioned, whether it's "get 1 random part every 5-10 kilometres", a daily challenge or taxi/courier missions like in the Crew 2. People would freeroam if freeroam were somewhat rewarding. It doesn't have to be as rewarding as feats or races, just give the players something in return for "just playing the game".

I feel we need more freedom of customization to the cars like for example the some of Lamborghinis have default wheels and they only come is alloy, and black sometimes even a brushed gold color they should allow to color the manufacturer wheels also bring in some aftermarket wheels like BBS, SSR, American racing, Enkei, rotiform, etc… it could let make some fantastic looking cars for the custom show and for our personal preference also add stuff like tire width, and wheel size, and offset for our wheels TCM has amazing customization but I’m honestly tired of the regular wheels we have there to glossy and almost to metallic and lastly we need more love to the drag racing spec add more cars or at least add some of the street tier 1/2 cars and make them drag there plenty of cars like the audi r8 that can be a drag car or the Nissan gtr, honda s2000 and let us customize them to make them look like an official drag spec it might be to much to ask but I personally would love it drag racing to get to much love

regarding the part sets and the long grind for them... the idea i've been thinking about is using the spare part points everyone accumulates over time. They are used so much less than they are accumulated and they just wastefully sit there. Maybe we can figure out a purpose for those, that can help shorten the grind. They are accumulated during the grind, so why not be able to buy a full set of parts like a set of nitro chem legendary parts for a certain class, for like 1.000.000 spare parts?

One more thing to add is in free roam and in PVP it would be great if the weight of a car made a difference and added an element of an enforcer, it feels all the time when racing the AI that they can ram you off the road so easily and if you nudge them back you still lose - i agree this would need to be well thought through to prevent the wanabee dodgems in a grand race

i really like gran turismo’s daily workout mechanic that rewards you with a car for driving a certain distance per day. not saying the crew should start handing out cars but a randomized roulette of cars, parts, bucks, XP, crew credits, etc. would be cool for driving x number of miles a day. someone also mentioned the taxi/delivery missions which would be nice to see back. they could even randomize that like they do loot crates, and give out bigger rewards as a result. i’d also like to see maybe a drift focused free roam feat. like a mini trial or a single corner like in nfs 2015. also like. jump feats? there’s a ton of ramps so

After I finished the playlists and did some Grand Races, I was mostly done. It sucks that majority of the new cars get released in The Crew 2 first leaving nothing for Motorfest.

I think they should disable traffic when you're doing the summit feats so at least that's fair since it's a limited time competition

I agree that the map is small, i really miss the big deserts, the high snowy mountains, the hundreds of miles of highways and many more and the grind is definitely too much and the ghost cars are annoying but i still find the game so fun especially with the Grand Races and the big variety of brands and cars, i think it needs some good updates and additions but the game, personally, feels really complete

You are SO right!! I love the game but the traffic kills me. In addition, in TC1 and TC2, there was A LOT of races scattered all around. Now we have non... Only the races of the challenges. And that sucks.

A.I Traffic irrating. They are like brick wall/tank and just disopear/re-appear out of nowhere. Also during feats its just retarded as hell sometimes its near empty and sometimes roads are so full you can't do single feat. And yes while map is beautiful its quite small and becomes dull fast. Also yes the grind for parts and bucks is bit much. Some of cars can become expensive real fast and you have to just do same 1 race if you want to get money fastest way. I have 6.9mil and thats barely enough for playlist bundles I have left to buy. I'm new to this series of game and I got it on sale for £20 and I had fun so far but just wished it could be less of headache overall

My issue with traffic on feats is when youve got only a 2 lane road for an escape and theres literally no room to get around them. I think that for city driving and highway it makes sense to have a bit more but when youre on what could be considered back roads or country type roads the traffic needs to be significantly less. Same thing should applymfor specific parts of a day. I used to think the traffic got lighter at night. Thats not the case. Theres challenging. Then theres really annoying. I dont want to run an escape for 2 hours trying to get a reasonable score.

And matchmaking with friends in a private lobby race sucks it always says Connectivity issues then it's quits the match ...also we need a regular Playlist for races online apart from the grand race..and it be cool if they had a mixed Playlist for all tier type cars and for just one branded or car culture online Playlist..like the regular Playlist we got to do but online would be so cool. we will be forced to use certain cars for certain type of races like only toyota cars or only Lamborghini cars would be so dope that's all that is missing and pedestrians lol like you said

imagine freeroam with 64 or 128 players on the server, it would make the island feel so alive also, there could be events on the map where players need to gather up to hit a certain goal, examples of this are: > volcano drift event, all the players in the server gather up to drift on a spawned serpentine that streches across the side of the volcano, the objective is to hit a total of 15 million combined points, it lasts anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. another example is: > gymkhana event, the gymkhana hub/island now becomes an active event, people can earn points like in the races for doing cool stunts and stuff, the objective is like 15 million combined points. these events then reward anywhere between 1 to 6 legendary pieces based on how much progress you've made yourself, so say i contribute to 1% of the total goal, i get 1 piece, if i contribute to 25% of the total, then i get 6 legendary pieces. events like this happen 5 minutes after one has ended. (and there could be two active events at the same time) leaving the challenge zone disables all the challenge specific modifiers and once it ends you get rewarded with the appropiate amout of pieces. thoughts?

The devs feel traffic is a skill to feats. Slaloms and escapes would be pretty trivial with no traffic. I can get a huge slalom score first time with a score breaker set. So it also encourages grinding for legendary parts. Forza Horizon ghosts traffic in skill zones, but they have stuff like drifting or speed zones.

they should add daily challenges and live events like forza horizon 4 where everyone on the map helps do skills and get rewarded for hitting so many points with iether limited time cars /money/car parts sets

The ai traffic is the only complaint i have with freeroam. The ai just sit on slalom posts. There was a summit about a month ago on a little small twisty road, came around the corner and there was a goddamn bus just perched on one of slalom posts

The problem with traffic is not the existence. 1) manage it like fh5 and make it transparent while doing challenges, so a leaderboard is fair 2) stop adding the “racing” traffic. At nighttime it’s hard to differentiate which traffic you can pass through and which one is solid. (Tbh, as a real world driver - I hate it to drive through other cars). Some more problems: Braking lines are often missing|Navigation is crab|no useable cross platform gaming|.

Before Hoonigan update the streets was clear , after updated the streets are always wet I don't understand how to fix it , this thing affect my skills . And we want pedestrians, the island is so empty...

my biggest upset with motorfest is that in the grand race you can use any car in the class, but when you try and do co op races with friends it limits what you can drive, like if the host picks a mercedes SUV in street tier 1, everyone is forced to use a suv or pickup truck of some sort. If they let us pick whatever cars in the class like crew 2 did, I think the game can be fun with friends.

Basically, I loved the The Crew 1. Giant map, radars to find, you NEEDED to explore the map to unlock fast travel in the area, car parts, ton of feats, and of course - the police chases. The mobile menu was just awesome, PvP was uniqe. Only thig that bothered me was that you will see your friends while roaming only like 6/10 times. Looks that didn't change much xd Shame they are killing it this year, because they are lazy to make it offline.

I think daily and weekly challenges would be awesome. It would be a good way to earn money, parts and XP. Right now I have finished all the events and feats, and all I have left are the ‘drive in a crew of…’ challenges. Im sick and tired of kiss me kombi. I’d also like more ways to spend spare parts. I have almost 1mil spare parts with nothing to spend them on.

The biggest thing in racing games for me is the soundtrack. The only good music I've heard from this game was during the Classic Playlist. I also wish being in a crew lasted longer than just the time you are on the game.

What bothers me is how PUNISHING the traffic is at top speeds. Sometimes the cars intentionally drive INTO your path and ruin your fun. I also wish there was an option to disable feats during freeroam cause sometimes I just wanna cruise n chill.

They need to increase payouts of events, coz most events give u 20 k at best with races being very long. Meaning u have to resort to doing liberty territory all the time or replaying a short race over and over again.

screw realism just ghost the cars during a feat like the crew 2 and the pedestrians in the crew 2 would just run out of the way when you drive close to them so I think the reason they removed the pedestrians is so the game could run on PS4 and Xbox one because the game just barely functions as it is on them so generating pedestrians and animals is probably too much for the previous consoles

I don't agree with the legendary part that increases your score in the summits. It totally removes skill out of the equation for those of us that don't have 8 hours a day to grind for the score breaker perk parts.

Adding ppl and animals would make the map feel more alive. The traffic is almost non-existent at times unless you're doing a feat then there's too much traffic. Kinda bored with the game so hopefully they add some more islands or something. Hoonagan addition and new playlist was nice but need to add more. One playlist once every season isn't enough. Imo, they should've stuck with the US map and added Hawaii

After finishing the challenges for the playlists, free roaming becomes quite dull and unexceptional. My fix would be to add daily, weekly and monthly challenges to do in free roam. IVT just needs to remember to make the rewards of those challenges enticing..

Spent 80 bucks on this game... got bored after 2 weeks. Repetitive and unbalanced. Hopefully they fix this but for now ive given up on it.

Check all the speed traps all the escapes most players that is in top10 are doing some exploit! I'm first in 3 with out any rest everyone took me out with exploit so yeah why try if everyone does the same exploit to be on the top??

In my opinion, the drag racing with randoms and friends is boring. The strip on the airport is way too short. They need to add a huge straight high away to another island so that drag racing would be more fun. If you look at free roam in other games, like nfs payback, heat, and even asseto corsa everybody in free roam loves to drag race.

I stopped playing a few weeks ago. The grind was just that, a grind. It took a literal month of consistent play (not escape grinding) to get a full set of legendary parts for ONE category. I missed my first platinum and a rare car because I was away for a week and couldn’t play. And PVP is limited to 10 minutes of dealing with rammers and resets. I have no interest in playing anymore. Free roam is pointless and the bullshit legendary grind ruins it. I refuse to play a game like this. There’s no reason someone like me, who has logged over a hundred hours, earned 30+ million in game and finished all challenges (minus the ones requiring Crews) should still be lacking legendary sets… There’s nothing more to do. The Summit races are all repeats. The free roam is non-existent. I wanted to love this game. Maybe they’ll fix it going forward but I won’t be picking this up for months if not more.

My opinion for what its worth is, Traffic in summit skills are just plain annoying and frustrating, they should be removed but in free roam I don't really care if they there or not, I agree with other about maybe adding activities such things as Story mode, delivery contracts and taxi activities, etc.

Disagree heavily on the traffic suggestion because ALL i do is free roam and the traffic I get is awful, every corner is STACKED and PACKED with trucks and busses and cars. I actually hate how much traffic I get, and when I turn a feat on, it's just bs. However in saying that I will say this, I seem to get MORE traffic in the remote places, instead of the cities which again is just really fkn strange to be out in the middle of no where at 3am and you have full traffic jam simulation going on, yet I go to the city sometimes and it's kinda empty. 1000% having no animals (despite their being constant animal noises as ambience) and no pedestrians kills the feel of free roam hard, every where I go is empty but then there is 1000 cars on the road but no ppl in the world, again really outta place and stupid. I can't crew up or cruise with anyone cuz as soon as I have the player load onto my screen or within my vicinity, the server will refresh within seconds and they are gone. Yet you know who is consistently just sitting in my lobby filling it up and giving me no one to play with? Just the fkn XP skill grinding guys at the volcano area. Every day, my lobby ONLY has these ppl in their planes just resetting their speed skill over and over and over. Giving me no one to play with, cuz like I said, if I get close to another player it bounces them, but not these XP grinders. Map is way too small, and they should have known this from the start, downgrading us this hard to such a small tiny zone was such a bad idea. We are only a few months in and it has become so boring and repetitive, compared to tc1/2, it's just not enough and even a bunch of playgrounds or island updates won't be enough either. Crew 1/2's USA map was fantastic and one of it's highlights for me was having such a vast space to always explore, It was so refreshing to cruise around those games and just occasionally come back to a area you haven't been in forever, which just doesn't happen with this map. You can drive around it and all over within 30 minutes and see everything. Would love a outside car show and it's something I have suggested already for awhile, I propose turning some of the HIKI gas stations or underground car parks into car meet lobbies, that as you drive by you can SEE visually with a indicator saying ** CAR MEET : 20/28 **, letting me know there is 20 ppl in that car meet lobby having a little show, this would be such a fkn cool idea, cuz at least you could explore / discover and join into different lobbies in one cruise. I would definitely stop at some of these car meets and take a look and also show cars off and try and meet some friends in the game.

I know this opinion might not be popular. However, I think legendary Parts should be free, or at least sell them for either crew credits or money I myself do not have the time or desire to grind out legendary parts. This I think is the worst part of the game grinding for parts

Tehe Reality is YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE The map is empty, No Activities, no missions, Boring and repetitives feats, No players to race with, the map is big but there's no locations, the traffic is very low. Just lots of use trashy collectibles and arts that you can't see after collect them of idk. We need a map upgrade and expasion, new locations, houses, more traffic and hidden things.

Add more drag races and maybe rivals mode to.the game.

My ideia since the crew 2 for making free roam even more interesting is just adding a gas or battery mecanism. Like every single vehicles would have 500km of gas autonomy or battery autonomy, and after that you would need to stop at a gas station to refill. Races include the the gas price and refill so it would spend only on free roam. It would create a moviment and meets at gas stations. I think would be an amazing fun and I would have a great time taking all my different vehicles to refill at gas stations

The open world is way to empty and lifeless in Motorfest in comparison to TC1 and TC2 - no pedestrians, no animals and nearly no traffic. In my opinion thats the biggest negative aspect in the new game and thats what I really liked about TC1 and TC2. You think you are the only liveform when cruising around in free roaming, also nearly no other players like in the older games. I can‘t understand why they haven‘t added this things like in all other crew games before - especially now, where the map is much more smaller than ever before, so especially in this case they would have much more possibilities to fill the map with life. It would be also nice to have the possibilty for some racing against AI in free roam. There‘s nothing to do in free roam, it becomes very boring quickly. I also loved the cops and deliveries in TC1, so there was alot more fun in free roam. But I have to say the graphics are beautiful and the gameplay, especially the driving physics with the bikes - I drive only with bikes in the crew games because in real life I am also a biker :) - has much improved compared to TC2. Now it feels not so much arcade like TC2 where its like you are driving on rails with a train. I hope they will patch the game in the nearly future and add more life and some activities in the free roam mode, like in the last 2 games.

It’s unbelievable that this game doesn’t even have chat audio or text chat. They call the game the crew but there are zero ways to interact with players. Just as blend as the crew 2. I only play for the summits and grind my parts. But for the rest it’s not the most entertaining game (except for grand races) if you are not a die hard race fan.

Why can’t u free roam cross platform ?

Definite feature that needs to be added is the ability to challenge other players or free roaming AI to a race in the open world, this feature was seen in some NFS games and Forza Horizon, or similar to the landmark races in Midnight Club L.A

Bought the game for the revuelto and the Urus and after getting them I don't love the game that much the map is small and it's boring

Chat in free roam. If I was able to chat with other players it would make the game more engaging and I would be able to build a nice crew to play together. As it is now, I only drive with my racing buddy from another game. The way we became racing game mates was through the chat function in game. Random friend requests get ignored by me in TCM because who the hell is this person?

I have to disagree with the content of the video here ! I get that as a competitive player you dont really enjoy free roaming, but my guess is that you're really not the targeted audience. There is this big thing in the game called challenges that I feel a ton of player are missing out on. Having played most of them, I think that they provide a ton of variety to the game and a great time sink while rewarding tons of vanity and money. They offer nice replayability to the playlist events, and searching for all the billion collectible hidden through the map is fun and really shows how beautiful and dense the map is. Photo ops are also nice freeride activities. Not having fauna is a bummer but I feel like people just like complaining about it while not caring about it if it's there, and the moment IVT adds that kind of feature other people will rise and ask for it to be removed. For grinding parts, freeroam is not ideal, maybe if there were some golden parts in the reward tracks of the playlist challenges or photo ops it would be nice
