stomach ulcers are only really problematic if they burst as that can result in internal bleeding and infection either of which can be deadly so resting reduces that chance and allows them to heal. They can happen to anyone at any age though the risks of developing one varies from person to person but there is a significant higher chance for people who have a family history of them.

It came from eating like shit for a long long time. Then eating something that fleared it up. Usually fears up by hot, spicy foods.

I know this is a little late, but for those who don’t know what an ulcer flare-up is, it’s basically an open sore that develops on the inner lining of the stomach. This can be caused by certain medications, stress, alcohol, and certain foods. This type of pain is genuinely one of the worst feelings ever; it feels like you’re repeatedly getting stabbed. I experienced this over a year ago because I was eating a lot of junk food and spicy food. I kid you not, this pain lasted for about 5-6 hours, and it was not a fun experience at all. I could barely sit up, walk, or eat. To my knowledge, this can happen at any age (I was 15 when this happened). Once the pain goes away, you can’t really do any physical activities for about 2-3 weeks until you’re healthy. There isn’t a way to cure this pain completely, and you simply need medication to reduce the frequency of this pain. To prevent this, you just need to stay healthy and avoid all the things I mentioned that can cause it. Hope this helps!
