The only comparison is what Lawrence had to deal with last year and just like Mac, he looked like one of the worst qbs in football as a result

I don't think the recievers are the problem. Parker, Bourne, Meyers, Agolhor, Thornton, Jonnu, Henry, etc aren't that bad a group. I'd say a B or B+ rating. I'd say the play calling and the constant injuries on the O-Line have been the biggest problem

Yeah you’re just completely ignoring the fact his rookie offensive coordinator left and was replaced by a man who has no experience coaching on the offensive side of the ball. He has no one experienced in offensive coaching to help him learn and adapt since Bill is also a defensive-minded coach. Your analysis would make sense if McDaniels was still here or if he was replaced by an offensive coordinator with actual offensive experience, but your analysis completely falls apart because you completely ignore the obvious as to why he hasn’t improved from year 1 to year 2. No one is on the Patriots coaching staff that can help him improve his skills and decision-making so he’s mostly just remained stagnant. That lack of good guidance and some really awful play calling has murdered him all season. I mean since he’s been back from his injury early this season he has thrown 7 TDs to 3 INTs. That’s not bad, but it should be way better. You’re strutting around like you were right and you called it, but you’re right for the wrong reasons. It’s like you used the wrong formula on a math question but still got the right answer.

I do think Zappe seems more composed as well, but I think there are some unrealistic comparisons made between the two QBs. Daniel Jones got significantly worse under Joe Judge too so of course the most rational move is to make him the QB coach(apparently Mac did NOT like Judge at all from an article I had read.)

Even if he's mid, there's no excuse for the coaching decisions. If they can't coach up a middling QB who's at least got a solid floor to be an NFL QB, how are they going to do with a more talented but boom or bust prospect? Someone that that will need good coaching or end up being a disaster? Do you think someone like Josh Allen - who oozed talent and potential - but had a lot of areas that needed work would do well in this Patriots system? How about someone who was extremely unconventional and like Mahomes or Lamar? Say what you want about Mac Jones. He's not the biggest issues with this offense. Coaching is. And that starts with Belicheck.

Just 2 rows down the list, Nic Foles had one more passing attempt with the same number of TDs, Archie Manning, Tony Banks, Joey Harrington and Gary Hogeboom all had more attempts with the same scoring output, but the most glaring are those guys with fewer TDs from the same or more passing attempts (David Klingler, Mark Malone, John Hadl), therefore based on that stat line poor MacCorkle is tenth or lower on the list
