The X-Men Rollout is the one thing that could actually save Disney. So far they are nailing it with the rerelease of MVC2, X-Men '97 is overwhelmingly positively recieved, and Deadpool and Wolverine looks dope. Disney knows they're in the gutter right now and the X-Men are the only franchise with enough love to save them (if they pull it off right). The mutant thirst is unreal.

100% accurate facts here. That's exactly my thought process as well. I expect an August release date, some time after Deadpool 3, during the tail end of its theatrical run. If not August, then probably after black friday, becuase I know they don't want this to go on sale too soon and September is hitting that time where it would go on sale for black frifay; 3 months later.

Totally agree. They wanted to put Cyclops on the front of a box asap. And just after people started liking him again after 97? That's probable not a coincidence. They need people to like these characters again. I can't imagine Cyclops being on the front of a new release even 2 or 3 years ago.

Even though I have multiple copies of the games for other systems, the idea of having all the MVC games in one collection with online play and access to the hidden characters makes it worth it. Now that I think about it, I haven't battled an actual person in X-Men COTA or Marvel Super Heroes since the 90's standing in front of an actual machine at the Arcade putting quarters on the machine to call dibs on next and us taking turns. On a side note I'm also really hoping Capcom will also get the license to bring back Tatsunoko VS Capcom. It's been about 15 years and a lot of people forget just how dope that game was on the Wii. 😇

MvC is not just about the X-men, there's no really reason to think this was done purely for that purpose. In fact, if that was the reason, why did MvC get even the PS3/X360 rerelease? Disney didn't own X-men back then, so why did they do it? And even the MvC origins collection in 2012. What is a more likely reason is that there were bad relations between Marvel and Capcom, as well as them thinking a rerelease wouldn't sell that much. Something which was then disproven by the Free MvC2 movement, and the peak of that movement to the release of this collection sounds about right for dev time needed for this rerelease (counting all the paperwork needed to approve the project, not just codding).

Feel like I want this to lead into an X-Men children of the atom 2 or even a X-Men vs avengers before some new marvel vs capcom

I agree with this video to some extent and also I'm getting this MVC fighting collection when it comes out ❗ but Disney and Capcom turn MVC infinite game into a shit show and a total sucks Ass Black sheep fighting game for MVC franchise point blank period ❗ the issues are the short roster of characters and the animation in the game is silly ! And the one group that was left out and basically started MVC Was the X-Men characters ! But maybe with enough sales to mvc fighting collection and also Deadpool and Wolverine ❗ Capcom and definitely Disney get their heads out there Assed❗ maybe in the future will have a new and better Marvel vs Capcom game soon ❗ 👍

All I know is, if they ever make Marvel versus Capcom 4, they had better not tie it to any MCU bullshit! Marvel Infinite was nothing but an ugly ass MCU commercial, and I hated it! None of the X-Men were present, and it just looked like a watered-down version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 with even lower production values! Dead on arrival, if you ask me.

I feel like the release date would more than likely be revealed at EVO, but this analysis seems logical. Still, I was shocked when this got announced, mainly because I desired a collection like this after Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection came out back in 2018, followed by Capcom Beat'em Bundle and Capcom Arcade Stadium. Then the releases of Capcom Fighting Collection and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium had me hoping even more. What I *really* didn't expect was this collection was going to have the Punisher beat'em up, but after learning that was the first Marvel game by Capcom, thus leading to that partnership that led to all the great games in the 1990s, ending pretty much in 2000 with Marvel vs Capcom 2, it actually does make sense to include it. That said, I wonder if we can expect the NSO SNES app to get X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse and Marvel Super Heroes: War for the Gems.
