Young Justice wasn't quite as good as Justce League Unlimited IMO, but it was still REALLY damn good. Not really a fair comparison anyway, because JLU is pretty much unmatched. JLU could have ran for 10 or more seasons, it coud have kept drawing from the entire DC Universe and decades of stories and characters.

yeah it's really stupid. Plus this kind of show attracts non only young girls, but also more mature boys that wouldn't watch any cartoons with no mature contents and often, those type of guy have a job so they could potentially buy something. It's so bad having something good for mature audience too? However, having a tv show that is able to enjoy by both female and male viewers should something to be proud of! And damn! I'm starting to get really sick of this dual indoctrination: it's dumb, misleading and social demaging and doesn't help comunication between male and female either. And it's sexist too! in a very irritating way.

Ditched toys and just went with shirts, that's an option as well. You can charge similar prices for a shirt and since printing them is fairly cheap you can easily have multiple shirts being sold at once. I'm not in the toy demographic but in my age range a shirt is. Cartoons don't always end up just being for kids. As an adult I enjoy Young Justice. Had the show creators been allowed to keep doing their thing while the studio adjusted their revenue streams we'd have five seasons of Young Justice right now instead of a delayed third season.

There are a lot of good anime that were canceled for being unprofitable despite its quality, but I agree that it never happens to this extent. Every media corporation wants to make profitable shows, but America just uses shows as money machines targeted at children too young to make their own decisions instead of making actual enthralling stories.

It's because of the illuminati iceberg in the show. It was revealing too many hints as to what's going on qith the governments in real life. .

no that series was cancelled because of a few things, Ratings were dropping (not to hard). Merchandise sales weren't to big but they never poured a lot of money into making merchandise so that wasn't a big factor. It came down to the series numbers and everything about it started to fall and they decided to cut the series just in case it ever fell any farther. Cartoon Network was also entering an era of poor management as well. Eventually putting real shows on cartoon network about 3 years later. Cartoon network has no qualms when it comes to cancelling a show the moment things start to dwindle unless merchandise sales backs it up. Cartoon network actually damaged Young Justice viewership/toy sales a decent amount with its unexpected airings and "hiatus". Hard to sell toys for a tv show that aired only a 2 times right before Christmas (September 29th, October 6th). Cartoon network is horribly managed and it literally comes down to who ever is willing to pay the bigger buck and WB wasn't willing to pay for airing time where it was most expensive right before the holidays to ensure toy sales.

ScarecrowJames Sounds similar on how Nickelodeon treated The legend of korra since the show was shifted around the schedule so much, not having any new episodes for weeks or months at a time then suddenly airing 5 episodes in a row and aired the last few episodes online.

Keep your righteous indignation in check please and curb your outrage culture. The problem here, as presented in the video, was the merchandise. If the girls bought the merchandise the execs wouldn't have given two shits and probably even used it as promotional material to show how progressive they were. An equally obtuse argument could be made where the execs could be painted as being sexist towards men since 'boys can only be about stupid, dumb action'. In that case you have the execs being both sexist against males and females...which, unless they're some kind of asexual alien, doesn't make any sense. I thought it was an interesting enough show and yes when it was cancelled I was 'ah that sucks', but even without knowing the details I knew that it just had to not be profitable, since the show wasn't some political propaganda. Lo and behold...they weren't selling merchandise...that's good enough a reason to cancel a show since you're actively loosing money (they do have to commission those to be built afterall and not getting any returns). Now, could they have bit the bullet on their unsold stock and tried a new line aimed at females? Yeah...but who knows-maybe the research showed that is not an optimistic prospect. If you want to blame someone, blame the fans who didn't support the show by buying merchandise. Here you have a show that appealed to girls, you didn't support it, then complain when it's cancelled....

I think more often than not they can't please everyone which is why they target one audience. If too many non targeted people start watching it's possible things will be changed for the new viewers sometimes more noticeable than others. It's impossible to please everyone at once without modifying everything or watering it down so no one is offended or confused.

Ashley LaFond executives had a plan from the start who they were selling to they have the merchandise ready to be shipped out and season 1 and 2 probably already done. when they realized girls were watching they probably didn't see much profit in paying for a more girly merchandise possibly keep making boy merchandise as well while also paying for a third season.

GasterGhost animation is expensive and he says in the video merchandise is the main source of income for them. they had a plan to pay for the show while making a profit by selling to boys with merchandise ready. they probably didn't see much profit in having to pay for new merchandise for girls and boys while paying for a 3rd season.
