a lot of rappers in the 80s and 90s were using street nigga names as they rap names, not all mainstream but mostly the ones that didn’t take off fr. and if you ask me ? AZ and Jay-Z both got their name from Azie Faizon. sounds like a reach , on Jay but it don’t sound too far off.
