Thanks for the personal update, Cuban. Sorry to hear of the mishaps, just glad you are OK. Bikes can be rebuilt/replaced. When we push the envelope, sometimes it pushes back. You are doing something you obviously enjoy a lot, so stick with it. It is an adventure you will have memories of for many years.I would love to be doing this with you, but my reflexes, my stiff and painful back, and concern for an injury would cause me to hold you up terribly. Enjoy the ability to do this when you are young. I will enjoy every video you post and thanks for them man!

I actually didn't realise this was a new bike, thought you repaired it at first glance and just a new screen! But fair enough! Good idea to get another XR! 10:00 I did my valves at 28k due to not having time and a lot of miles being piled on, they were still in spec, I did replace them anyway to bring them closer to the middle but they really weren't that close to the limits either. 47k miles, didn't miss a beat before it sadly passed on!

Wondering about your opinion… I’m relatively new rider (own Speed Twin 22) and thinking about s1000xr 22 as additional bike - want to ride longer distances more comfortably at the same time to have more sport oriented bike for the twisties. I have a deal for a low suspension one as I’m 166cm and 64kg 😅. The ST weight approx 216kg wet so I think I can manage the BMW as well - depends on the height of course 😅

Hi I have a 2018 xr, I don't mind the vibrations in the bars or pegs but I do hear more of a motor vibration sound on the drivers left side of the motor between 4-5k, is that normal? When accelerating hard I don't notice it, it's more of a cruising issue, in top great at 65mph the motor has a vibration sound, it leaves as you get up to 75, is that consistent with your bikes?

All I know is it doesn’t feel like it has a stabilizer. It’s very weak my ZX 6R without one felt stiffer strange. And wheeling a tuono v4 Extremely Difficult Way too much torque and power. Third gear at 100 believe it or not it wheelies best the powers manageable. Second gear at 45 so difficult to do my ZX 6R was much much easier.

I've had a first gen S1000XR for nearly 8 years and taken many right handers at full lean, you might hope that I have a clue. For comparison you will see a few upcoming videos at full lean, on a road, with a lesser front tire, and not a hint of letting go.

@@CubanRider All I was expecting you to say was; "My worn out tire had less grip than I thought, and I low-sided. I made a mistake. Next time my tire gets like that, I'll know to not lean the bike over so hard." It seems like you don't want to admit that you made a mistake. 8 years without crashing? Congrats. My uncle rode his harley 100k miles and never hadda layer down. That doesn't mean he's an expert at riding, it just meant that he's been lucky. The day you crashed was the day you ran out of luck.
@CubanRider
@CubanRider Жыл бұрын
@@nathanbaeyens2856 Not 8 years without crashing, I wish, but 8 years with the bike. I already mention I made the mistake of running the worn out tire, crashing is a consequence of the initial mistake.
@carloalbertoranzani8041
@carloalbertoranzani8041 Жыл бұрын
@@nathanbaeyens2856 let’s say that a track environment and a road environment are very different (you don’t push to the limit on the road). I traveled way more than 200k miles on the road with cars and more recently with motorcycles without major accidents but that doesn’t make me a good track rider per se. In a track environment like that, you can’t continuously check for the tire status. The error was trusting slightly worn tires slightly too much, nothing else. I can only hope my own mistakes will be no more than that.
