When you're 6'7-6'8 you have a height advantage on at least two nba positions, when you're 6'4-6'5 you only have a height advantage on some point guards, Gelo's just not athletic enough or good enough as a shooter, at 6'5 you need to be pretty athletic to make the NBA or shoot lights out
