I'm a 19 year old guy thats never been in a relationship yet. I have dreams to be a helicopter pilot and electrician. Sometimes I feel like something is wrong with me or I need to act on getting women. But then one day at working as a lifeguard at the YMCA a wise old man in his 70s told me something that I have since stuck to. He said "Jack I know you well. Your a very special interesting person. I've been working in the mental health field for 33 years. Trust me I can tell your going to have an amazing love life." And he's right I'm very ambitious with many hobbies. So maybe someone can relate to this out there. Also keep in mind I rock climb, golf, and many other things so I do indeed put myself out there. Sorry if you think this sounds self centered. I just want my unheard story out there.

I’m 23 and never had sex yet. I had the same thoughts but I grinded out my dreams and now I am an Engineer. Girls actually approach me now in my work space and even outside. Just stick to your work. There is a time and place for everything.

For me it’s more attractive to find someone like Nora than someone whose been around the block. For me it’s more special, and in regards to embarrassment i think this is only a western thing a lot of people outside the west are like Nora and it’s a very normal thing to keep you know what until you find that person.

What he is saying suggests their is something wrong with women being sexually free as if they are supposed to be saving themselves for some perfect suitor who definitely will come along at some point in their life and they will also somehow be able to recognise him when he does. This type of thinking comes from pre biblical times when women were thought of as nothing more than chattel (property) of men

Dude it's overratted the same as sex. Don't get me wrong both are fun, but the pressure someone your age will put on themselves to have both and what it really means or changes in life do not match up. Also you are growing up in age where the internet is firmly established as well as dating sites and the idea of meeting complete strangers for dates. You will kiss someone before too long and probably find it far easy to get a kiss than any other generation before you.
