This almost happened to me, I just returned to the game and learned what is good. Built an a deck. Not sure what the cards my opponent is running but played Maxx C. I had 3 cards left in my deck when my turn came. Like what? This fucking game sometimes. It almost makes me think running some cleaver exodia deck might be worth it given all the different ways to draw and negate damage now. almost......... I will still have to learn a lot more new card abilities before I would want to even attempt that. lol Imagine getting Exodia'd in todays format though.

Mostly from having most of my win conditions countered or just plain ol' bad plays on my end. I just wish we could have a simple emote system to sort of "Well played" and "GG" the opponent before I surrender sometimes. Could be easily abused though, which is probably why it is not there in the first place.

@@MurkN pretty much the same story with me. I played duel links for a few months, I enjoyed it but it was an incomplete Yu-Gi-Oh game. So I decided to stop playing and wait for a complete game of Yugo, but this new stuff I find it too extreme tbh!

There are also control decks. You have a competent strategy without the need of wasting 15 minutes of your life every turn.

There’s no way it won’t. He hit over 10k viewers because Master Duel just released, but his normal crowd when streaming anything is 3-4k. While he was streaming yesterday, the other most watched MD streamer hit maybe 3k. So, when Master Duel hype dies down, Dkayed will STILL be getting 4k viewers just by jumping on, while people like the 3k guy yesterday will be at 1k maybe.

Colossal fighter comes back, opponent draws, repeat. Obviously you’d only do this if you could make colossal and your opponent had already Maxx C’d you

And the OCG is more control centric rather than combo centric due to cards like this not on the banlist. I don’t think they would ban it so soon after releasing the game. Especially with the new cards they will be implementing into the game at some point

It’s only not a good card when literally no one special summons ever; even in a format with 1 special summon averages it’s a +0 (the same as Upstart Goblin (limited, higher cost than Maxx C)) and in any more becomes a direct positive akin to Pot of Greed+even more possible cards.

It's more like most combo decks are "combo or lose" - If your opponent DIDN'T draw their 1 or 2 copies of nibiru, you probably win. Also you actually can negate Nibiru with a few specific cards - Had it happen to mine before. Surprisingly, I haven't been nibiru'd or maxx C'd yet despite my opening play being summoning at least 12 times minimum.... It's weird how few people are actually playing real amounts of the broken AF hand traps. Think I've only been Ashed once too, and it was first thing I summoned because Link Dragons can look like a completely different archetype/deck if you order things right, so they keep thinking I'm playing either pure rokket or pure dragon maid and trying to target those cards specifically when they don't actually do much, it's funny.

Until you don't have Maxx "C", they make 6-8 negates, then when you take your turn they Maxx "C" YOU, putting you in a near impossible situation. (Stop trying to break their board? You die. Keep trying? You give them more than enough fuel to push back if you DO manage... and if you DON'T, then you're in a even worse position.) Imagine facing Herald of Ultimateness with a Maxx "C" helping to fuel it.

There are already cards that stop combos like droll & lock (and it's SR by the way) and Nibiru for that kind of decks, also dark ruler no more.

Its a logical play and one that any good player will know to do. Learning when to surrender is a key part of learning how to win

That's called the "Maxx C Challenge". If someone plays Maxx C turn one, taking the challenge means attempting to Special Summon 35 times in turn 1 and deck them out. Vast majority of decks can't pull it off, but some can, rather well too.

it's literally a stronger card than half the banlist. when someone maximum cockroaches you, you have to make a choice: pass on nothing, in which case you lose because you have nothing, or keep comboing and lose because your opponent went +20 off 1 card. i don't see how you could look at it and think that it's fair or fun in the slightest.

Secondly , because you are the one ccomplaining and you must be use main tier 1-2 deck . So you must do a full combo . And yugioh's player don't just play tier 1-2 deck , they play other deck and other deck put Max C can helping them to againist some tier 1-2 deck .

I think this is the main reason it’s stayed banned in the tcg. Like of course just drawing 5 combo pieces would be broken but drawing your answers means more.

If your oponent goes for a maxx c challenge its his fault. Imagine having no maxx c. The oponent would end on a unbreakable board because you have only 6 cards in hand turn 2 while he has a board and cards in hand. Just dont go for the maxx c challenge. If the oponent has a deck filled with handtraps maybe he has to set an asch turn 2.

In master duel you have no side deck and off meta decks are able to get a turn with maxx c. You are not forced to play a deck everyone is playing because maxx c is holding the turn 1 powerlvl down. The card is healthy as hell I dont get why people dont see it. Tcg is solitaire

@@Pkey995 maxx c is the most unhealthy card in the game. If you are playing an off meta combo deck maxx c makes it impossible to combo. If you are playing control you probably still have 1/2 specials so maxx c is better upstart/pot of greed. It gives people so many chances to draw outs to off meta strats. There is so many cards I would prefer to see come back in the tcg over maxx c it’s insane.

@@Pkey995 I mean if your are staring at a hand of engine cards and no interruptions then set 1/pass probably means a loss so why not try and hope you get through even if you special two monsters maxx c becomes a better pot of greed if your opponent doesn’t special it can be as good as ‘skip your opponents turn’.

Think for a second. That same person who did that insane combo CAN ALSO RUN MAX C. Whoever draws it first typically wins in any competent deck. Maxxx c doesn't just hurt combo it hurts all decks that special summon.
