Older 2k had far less amount of badges, yet all these things were mostly on the game. Go back to that. Game felt more balanced.

It’s outrageous when u shoot you have all those things activating in your favor, but unless u buy shooting boost none of that seems like it matters. It’s a night and day difference

The issue I’ve had with 2k for years is that certain badges just shouldn’t exist and should be included within certain attributes so for example unpluckable shouldn’t be a thing if I have high handle it should be harder to rip me than somebody with low handle I shouldn’t be able to have a 90+ handle but then have bronze unpluckable that shit makes no sense and this was just an example but there’s mad badges like that in 2k

Said this a while ago, but players have a low threshold to be great in certain attributes then everyone is going to seem like a demi god because the difference is going to be little to none. Badges should do more or just be removed. All badges need animation speedups, contest negates or animation unlocks.

You’re ignoring all other variables that exist for determining a make/miss. -How much space you have when shooting -Spot of the court you’re shooting from -Shooting right after catch vs holding longer then shooting -Shooting momentum (I think this is the biggest factor of any. Probably played 500 games in the rec this year and players who’ve made 3+ shots in a row will shoot dramatically better than players who’ve missed after one or 2 shots. They’ve obviously boosted some internal momentum setting because contested shots/shots off the dribble all go in at a higher clip if the player has made 3 buckets in a row. They won’t miss if they’re standing still for a couple seconds and shoot immediately after they catch pass - doesn’t matter how covered they are either.) I think all these factors determine more than what badges/attributes you have. Granted the higher attributes/more badges you have the more room for error you have on your shot in regards to determining if you make or miss. Someone with higher 3 ball rating and 10 shooting badges will make a shot with a hand in their face a greater percentage of the time than the guy with less rating and less badges obviously. To sum it up I don’t think u can just count up the added “factors” equipped on your player to determine your shooting percentage. You’re only going 6 for 6 if you have high enough shooting attribute combined with a couple badges AND open shots. A 99 shooting attribute and every badge in the game won’t make a 3pt shot if the defender has his hands up.

At this point they need to just sell us nba players, tendencies & all😂

No you're on to something here, I have a 7 ft Center with a 95 strength for immovable Enforcer I have a 92 standing dunk and in 93 99 offense and defense also brake starter for passing and driving dunk. No closes shot no driving layup no steals and I'm literally still doing all those things would barely know badges to support any of it.

They seem useless to the people that have low patience with learning how to play the game

idk but recently i’ve been getting more speed ups on my higher 3pt builds and missing wide open when i time it the same as the last shot i greened (both wide open) but my lock with a 76 3pt cant miss at all rather its contested or not

They trying to make the gameplay more like irl basketball and they can even make simple micro transactions Giving balls to opponents when they clearly violate, badges don't work like HOF chasedown for example, players are moving slow af you have to speed boost for him to move faster and there's so many different shot speeds in game Its a fcking ARCADE GAME

2k19 was a game where attributes really mattered and few people cared about their badges and some builds were overpowered. 20 was a badge based game and certain animations, like hop steps, were op. 2k is going for a more balanced approach now.

Tbh, I see 40 ball handling players being able to run PG, 60 3pt players going 4/4 from 3, and 45 middy builds hitting 15-20ft dribble pull ups. On the other end I see 92 block builds getting dunked on by my 6'3" 72 dunk build consistently. The only attributes that matter is steal for two man trash animations and dunk for meter contacts. Nothing else matters. Game is too misleading and thats why I think this 2k is trash even though I'm still a dog this year 😭 I miss how builds were on the Xbox 360. Every attribute meant something but awareness. We even had hands and off hand dribbling attributes. BRING IT BACK

I look at badges either 1 of 2 ways either the badges I'm using are to make my highest stats/main skills better and more OP or the badges im using are to improve my weak areas/low stat skills.....also think about what your build is already good at for example i got a 92 middy and 86 or 87 3 ball build why use all my badge points to max out corner specialist or volume shooter or even catch and shoot if i can hit shots anyway....using badges like deadeye, guard up, and blinders will make my build more op but if you got a low 3 ball or cant shoot you should go for badges that help hit open shots or like i said at the start if i want to have op shooting i go for those first 3 bagdes i mentioned...now for my center builds its different i have a 90 and 99 standing dunk and 100% of the time i use fast twitch and rise up because without them the 99 standing dunk is useless not because of my skill but because of how the game works

We dont need all those badges, we need less! Attributes are a joke nowadays. 2k is just wasting our time with badge grind, core patterns and all bs. We can cut minimum half of the badges, they are really pointless, just try to find badges that cant be replaced by actual players attributes and you'll be very surprised.
