YG built an empire with subsidiaries to support and supply their own artists. They are self sufficient and doesnt depend on other source. They discover, develop and create artists from scratch wholistically to prepare the idol or artists even to the harsh reality of Kpop business industry. Thus seeing most YGA are confident and appear as sassy and swag. Example is the YG Select company, distrbutor and manufacturer of albums and merchs, thats y Hybe invested on them not because YG needed them but they needed the services since YG was known for quality and eco friendly albums and merchs.

@@user2579x yes, Hybe transferred all their album distribution and merchs to YGSelect. In exchange , YGA are included in weverse. Itscpart of deal. Though YG already had estsblished connection with KZfaq directly. Like for example BP had held their The Show online in YT platform.

건물은 하이브가 클지몰라도 복지는 yg가 최고인듯.yg신사옥에 아티스트 개인작업실만 30개 있는데 공사 때부터 아티스트들 위해서 신경써서만들었다고해요.작곡공부나 작업실 원하면 개인 작업실 하나씩 주는건 진짜 가수들한테 최고의 복지가 아닌가싶어요. 직원식당,메이크업룸,댄스연습실도 아티스트마다 배정해주고당구장,탁구장,편의점,헬스장등등 그만큼 아티스트를 먼저 생각해서 설계한듯 합니다.데뷔후에는 숙소도 최고급 아파트2~3채에 각방도 주고 여러모로 yg가 잘하고있다고 생각합니다

YG prefers not to send their artists to awards where they will be treated badly than to win awards just for attendance, YG once said that they prefer to do concerts than to send their artists to awards shows, so their artists can be better treated by the YG staff, they have my respects. If I wanted to be an idol I would go straight to YG

Fr They make true artists rather than doll-like idols. If one criticizes their artists they reply with action rather than words. When scandals are purposely created they give savage replies like "Ask SM" lmaoo Not to mention how they let their artists have 2nd, 3rd or more careers. And infact help them in that. Instead of being insecure like others (coughJYPcough) That's why artists rely on their own power and get huge solo successes Rather than waiting around as an idol with no individuality to be bought Brand deals for promotion. I'd go straight to YGE too. And try my best for years to get in there. YGE or nothing. Cuz just like their work ethic they're super strict with trainee recruitment They don't just recruit people from roads cuz they "look" good. I gotta be well versed in ALL things rap, vocals and dance to stay and compete.

It's kinda like how Ivy league universities maintain their branding by having low acceptance rates. YG creates an image of exclusivity by being picky with their artist's appearances. It's also why YG artists are the most prominent fashion ambassadors since named brands also use similar scarcity tactics as part of their branding and marketing.

Yge is an ENT. Of YGA and we called it yg fam with staffs. They treat each other as fam. Loyalty is important to them so I don't see any traitor and all employees are loyal too. What I noticed is, when someone depart from them, it's either will make agency too or go to other friends agency or agency of their former employees..

FR! That's why I get mad when they throw big 3 privilege every argument as if YG Artists doesn't deserve that, I think YGA's deserve it the most because most of their produced artists are real talented and humble, and their songs are made from scratch and not bought overseas. Their juniors are also well aware of how their seniors worked hard for it that's why they also work hard in behalf of their future juniors.

To add, only YGE seems the agency that pays their idols since Day 1. All expenses incurred during the training phase are treated as investment. You won’t have to pay them back.

and the fact yg let their former artists take their ytb channel with them and also invest on their artists personal ytb channels. yg handle all the expenses for their trainees ( i can’t remember the total amount but y’all can see in ygtb). From all the companies yg greets their trainees the best, they will get you privacy, security, education and all.

WTF, this next generation really doesn't know what YG was like way before it became big. It's literally a fun place to be in. They have freedom, friendship and their teachers are not patriarchal nor based ability on hierarchy like many other labels. That's what separated YG back then. I've watched many old YG videos, and its so cool just to see those behind the scenes. I'm not part of that era but I can see the big difference of then and now. Oh, how I would love to see those old days again.

one of other best things about YG is diet. BP used to mention that their company didn't require them to be on diet at all. The host was surprised when hearing they eat 3 meals a day plus with snack time too. The girls mentioned that they maintain their body proportion by dancing and workout. They eat whatever they want. You can watch BP house, their vlog, they literally eat a lot. Even Treasure, a member scolding their fan for being on diet.

Honestly among all companies the one that is more humane in treating artists is YGE. YGE building is just built differently, the design is that the 2 lateral parts should remind of a stereo. A music spaceship 🚀 0:53 don’t worry, the YGE casting directors in an interview with WINNER’s Seunghoon youtube channel, said that they don’t have age limits has you can see in their home page. So don’t give up for that reason ~

With great offers comes great responsibility. Being a YG trainee is really difficult, based on what I see.. they have to perform for monthly evaluation, and also divided to categories, solo evaluation, team evaluation, which are singing and dancing. Also, sometimes you are a student as well. Its not easy to please YG, you need to have the X factor so you can stand out among other trainees.

@@Amanda-gl5lr its more potential. X factor is way overrated. Xfactor is a whole package but YG traines them for 4-6 years. Somtimes highly talented and very young trainees enter like Chiquita, Jennue, Gdragon, Losa, Bobby, Yedam etc... but even they're not "perfect" or skilled in the eyes of YG. While most companies are centered on fuller voices or have a very typical style, YG surely focuses on unique vocal textures, distinct rap styles. The X factor thing is surely something worth having when it comes to becoming a YG trainee.👍

They make one work IMMENSELY hard to prove themselves and fight to stand out. But that's the deal. Once ur in their zone, you're set for life. They'll provide every comfort and help they can to back up the trainees. Debuting in YGE means they'll be a whole individual There's no selfishness in sharing the artists YGE let's them express their best in every career option they wish to try

Let's say you have the Talent, dedication, improvement, desperation and the YG vibe and you always pass the monthly evaluation as a trainee in YGE but, the most important thing being part in YGE is you MUST have a strong mental fortitude to survive in the Kpop industry, all the harsh things that a trainee experiencing inside the company is just the 1% of what kind of sh*t you will face once you debut, so if you can't handle those things and you always breakdown when you encounter harsh comments from the judges at company then you will not survive to the industry.

Yes, they do have depression, however, they are still well taken care of by the people around them, it's just their personal reason too for having a depression, not because of their work. But other than having depression, they still don't have suicidal attempt.

YG is the only company who would rent theme parks even Lotte multiple times just for treasure content. The expensive food they eat abroad, the luxurious outfits. YG artists are well taken care of, the only issue is they're known for super long hiatus but their music is very good. YG style and YG vibe is something very unique in kpop.

The fact that among all 4 big companies, its YG that gives their artists more money, and the company itself gets the smaller cut. They're truly a company that cares about its idols. they don't meddle in their private lives and let their artists have freedom. sometimes the management is complaint worthy like their hiatus times but at the end of the day it's all in favour of their artists.

you are right. At the end of the day it is only the fans complaining because they want more music. But YG artists can flex bcs they are rich despite putting out less music. I used to to think YG doesn't let their artist compose and write songs or released their self-produced songs. But that's been proven false after seeing Treasure and Babymonster! I think the only flaw YG has in my opinion, is that their promotion style is very outdated.

Most important things is yg never overwork their artist, that is why yg artist r don't have depression unlike other company artist have.. Also yg don't have any artist who committed suicide like sm had. Also, yg is the most safe company for girls including minor. U ll never get to hear bout their artist getting sexualized or getting sexual abuse or anything. 3rd is, yg respect your dating privacy. As yg never gonna reveal ur privacy life.

@@LittlePanda888 They're not involved with lawsuit because when Yedam and Mashiho left the company, you didn't hear any issues about the company giving them lawsuits. They had an agreement with the two members' decisions. Even their past artists didn't mention anything about their company giving them lawsuits, so we can be rest assure that YG are not involved with lawsuits.

As far as I know for the income it's 60% to the YGA's then, 40% goes to the company. Also, when it comes to cfs 100% talent fee will go to YGA's. That's why most of the YGA's have black cards. In the Treasure Box, they mentioned that they spent $$$ with the trainees so they could dress well. One more thing, YG will give his black card to his artists to buy what they want. I remember on 2NE1TV before YG bought something to Dara. Speaking of Dara, she mentioned that she and YG are in the same store and YG paid her stuff.

Go back to Dara's interview with JYJ. She said she thought everything was free and it's like paradise but it's not. Everything that YG bought for them was deducted from their paycheck.

저렇게 그냥 된것이 아니고, 저것도 다 그전 아이돌들이 잘해서 산업이 커져서 가능한거지. 그냥 된것이 절대 아니지. 그전 아이돌 연습실보면 처참해. BTs도 엄청 유명하잖아. 다 그 힘든 상황에서 다 해낸거야. 그래서 지금 연습생들은 최고의 시설, 진짜 용돈도 주는 회사도있고, 얼마나 좋아. 교육비 연습생들 교육비만해도 수십억이잖아. 최고의 시설에서 최고로 키워주고, 데뷔를 못해도 그 교육비는 개인이 그런 교육을 받을려면 몇억은 깨지지. 그걸 공짜로 해주는건데 엄청 좋지. 공짜 맞지?

Although YG does street casting, it seems different. It's not like they're collecting pretty and handsome people of the streets, but it is how they prioritize talent first before beauty. Whereas other companies collect beauties and models and train them into average singers. I can tell YG has a lot of pride and faith in babymonster compared to back when blackpink debuted, since he was more part of the formation. He didn't expect blackpink's fame to be so big and quick which is why he is now more passionate. It seems Babymonster is a more talented version of blackpink, almost like the future 2ne1

Yes, to be honest, the only member who got debuted by casting on the street is Yoon Jaehyuk from Treasure. YG saw his potential and improvement after being scolded by the trainers during the EXO - Growl training, on his performance with that song, everyone in YG saw his improvement.

One of the reason that i think why big agencies are considered "big", different and popular to be applied to is their groups/artists tend to have longer longetivity and existence, it's subjective ikr but it is mostly true, regardless the bad management itself, scandals or bad events that would happen to them.

What looks like a *loss* for others are the *strength* of YGE. Others pay Artists wayy lesser than YGE. BUT. The huge income of artists here enable their 2nd, 3rd or more careers In turn they don't need the company's help for being successful individually But rather brings in numbers everyday. Unlike others this one company seems to do everything right weather in business or ethic as an artist. No need to buy brand deals for idols to promote. The artists promote themselves and bring brand deals home. YGE indeed is a leader in entertainment Bringing in Fashion, sales, streams, trends and anything whatsoever to kpop has been a staple for nearly 2 decades.

YG doesn't have debt system so even you don't debut you don't pay them. There was an article saying that the treasure toplines yoshi and hyunsuk already earned $3-5m and they just debuted around 2 years ago.

YGE make *True Artists* rather than doll-like idols. If one criticizes their artists they reply with action rather than words. When scandals are purposely created they give savage replies like "Ask SM" lmaoo Not to mention how they let their artists have 2nd, 3rd or more careers. And infact help them in that. Instead of being insecure like others (coughJYPcough) That's why artists rely on their own power and get huge solo successes Rather than waiting around as an idol with no individuality to be bought Brand deals for promotion. I'd go straight to YGE too. And try my best for years to get in there. YGE or nothing. Cuz just like their work ethic they're super strict with trainee recruitment They don't just recruit people from roads cuz they "look" good. I gotta be well versed in ALL things rap, vocals and dance to stay and compete.

YG는 약국 별명이 강해졌어, 사실 기획사가 저런 복지를 시작한건 YG가 먼저 아닌가 싶다. 그후 지금은 하이브가 크게 생기고 그 영향인지 YG 시설을 더 업그레이드 한것 같네

I think any company that learn from their mistakes is a good one. Just like YGE learn from overworking BigBang (now they rarely overworked their artists), and JYPE learn from stilting GOT7 creative direction (now they give free reign to SKZ).

BIGBANG worked really hard from 2006-2008. They knew they had to keep going non-stop. They know very well that the faith of YG was in their hands. They were so successful at such a young age that they didn't even know how to stop. But yeah, they were able to adjust their working condition in 2009 onwards. But still, each members look more like they were working too hard because they also want to pursue a solo career while working as a group. So they were working twice as hard as they did back then, except of course, they aren't forced or required to put out a mini or full albums every year like other idols group does. Also, they were already choosing which brand to endorse or variety shows they would want to appear in. So yeah, BIGBANG, as a group were making bigger decisions for themselves. But for a creative person like G-Dragon, working isn't a pain in his butt, its part of who he is. He is just like any other workaholic people out there. He loves what he does. And sometimes he forgets he is human and needed to take a break.

Bigbang made YG what YG is today, but foreign blackpink fans who are narrow minded and don't do their research on the history of YG will never accept that. If bigbang never debuted in YG, they probably would not even be part of Big4 today. True kpop fans know that 2ne1 and Bigbang's success is what made people anticipate Blackpink's debut back in 2013-2016

@@angelf722 Big 3 + Hybe, I would not consider Hybe as a Big 4. They haven't created legacy like the Big 3 have yet. YG, SM, and JYP are called Big 3 because of their legacy that they made since late 90's up to now, while Hybe only got big by BTS, who got exploded and famous, while the rest of their artists haven't gotten exploded yet. They haven't made up to par with the Big 3 yet, Big 3 made a history in K-Pop for a long time now, Hybe haven't yet, so I don't count Hybe as a Big 4.

BIGBANG making 80% of YG's revenue when they were new in the industry got them that first land and 2nd YG building built in just 3 years. Then they still continue to give so much for another land and their new HQ. Tf. BIGBANG could have kept 70% of the group's yearly revenue and let YG entertainment rot. But then again, BIGBANG went through hell when they were trainees, so they care about the future of their trainees and the staff that help them over the years.

YGE building is just built differently, the design is that the 2 lateral parts should remind of a stereo. A music spaceship 🚀 0:53 don’t worry, the YGE casting directors in an interview with WINNER’s Seunghoon youtube channel, said that they don’t have age limits has you can see in their home page. So don’t give up for that reason ~

If I’m not mistaken, yes. They use their 1st building (during BIGBANG 2NE1 time, not the current TBL) as a training center. You can see the building in ep1 of YG Treasure Box.

@@meandme4385 Btw the first YG building was an old building they rented. Their first office was just a one room basement. So the YG building that came from BIGBANG's earnings from 2007-2009 was the 2nd YG building. Which makes the current main HQ as the 3rd YG building.

While it's true that YG "prefers" young trainees, they never discriminate an individual's age because Park Bom and Sandara Park were accepted as trainees by YG when they were already in their early 20's and debuted as members of 2NE1 at the age of 25. If they think getting accepted to YG is unreachable at this point then they can try The Blacklabel because it's similar to YG but smaller plus the fact that you'll get the chance to work with Teddy and get evaluated by him.

YG also offers a SEX EDUCATION for their artists which is good, and to avoid teenage pregnancy because 'some' teens are getting pregnant and it cause continued population increase. A lot of people are angry with YG but they don't see the good that YG is doing to their artists.

10년전만해도 K팝이 이렇게 안 컸지. 그때막 커지기 시작하긴했지. 10년전 15년전에 BTS도 한방에 10명썼다고했나? 그런데 지금은 몇조원회사이고, 엄청 좋지. 과거에는 더 심했지. 가수는 돈을 못버는 직업이 대부분이였는데, 지금은 엄청 잘됐지. 지금은 다 잘되어서, 연습생들 용돈도 주는 회사도 있고, 연습생들 교육 들어가는 비용도 대형기획사들은 투자비용이 수십억들어가는기업들이 수두룩하지. 완전히 좋아진거야. 진짜 좋아졌지.

하이브가 탑일 듯요. 걔네는 A급 큰 빌딩을 통으로 임차해 쓰니까요. 빌딩 크기 자체가 YG 빌딩보다 배 이상 커요. 층수도 굉장하고. 그걸 수백 억원 들여 리모델링을 했죠. 하이브가 탑!

How have blackpink ever been mistreated? You push your silly 'mistreated' agenda when bp are probably living their life in leisure right now..They're rich, successful, can date and drive and go to events, aren't busy with music. It's only blackpink fans complaining. YG treats all their artists the same. They are all promoted the same way. They aare given freedom to write and produce songs. And you have seen Blackpink credited on songs before. The only thing you can complain about is promotionn but don't be stupid and say they're being mistreated or say other YG artists are treated better, that is BS and shows your reverse sexism. In what way they are mistreated? Lol, it's like y'all just getting along with the trend wherein they always blame YG for that. The only thing that was bad was the comeback and in fact it's not only BP doing that, it's almost the artist under it. And take note BP was under Teddy, if teddy hasn't a song yet, then they don't have a comeback at all. Same with the solo's, sorry to burst your bubble but BP always relying on the other producers, that's why they have a long hiatus compared to Treasure wherein most of them can make an actual song. And when it comes to the brands, promotion in national television or what it depends to the other production if they want to invite BP or not, and take not YGE just don't sell their artists to those promotions on tv with just minimum talent fee. That's why you see a lot of YG artists are in the list of richest idols, cause they choose demand and quality unlike those other idols who come up in national tv almost everyday but end up getting paid less. What YG is doing is great for BP, even the girls remain loyal to YG, instead of going to the other company they chose to stay with YGE as a group because they know YGE helped them become famous.
