By far the best "Friday the 13th" movie adaptation. And, I've seen them all. The Jason Vorhees character in this particular movie is not a slow-moving robotic slasher. He's fast, agile, smart, and calculating. Way more of a threat. I wish they would have all been like this.

One scene in this movie I liked was when he threw the axe into that guy's back and tried to use him as bait even though it didn't work I still thought it was cool cause it just went to show much more of how well calculating he is.

The best part of the movie, was the first 15 minutes. When Jason came upon that last girl, w/ the machete, you KNEW she was dead...only to find out, because she was wearing his Mother's locket, and physically resembled her, she was spared.

I mean I wouldnt say. buffer kane was jacked for all his roles. and yes hes my favorite Jason actor. just they way he gave him some of the best body movement and definitely gave him a new intensity that the others before him didnt. And above all else the man put his body thru hell to make everything look real as possible. Srry I just really love the character and kane is the obvious best choice for the j man I wish wed get a remake with KH.

This reboot is dope. Dark, intimidating, awesome kills and an overwhelming Jason. Love how grateful Mears was for this role. It shows that it wasn't just a job for him. There was true passion and you can see it in his poses and movements.

This film is massively underrated. Personally, I love it, it's a great return to form for the character and the mythos. After the astonishing dumpster fires that were "Jason X" and "Freddy vs. Jason", this one was most welcome.

Thought they tried to change the character too much and the story line was a little wack! Jason last movie the whole production cost 17mill and it didn’t even gross 100mill. Now, for example, Halloween last movie only costed 10mill and it grossed 255mill. Jason diehards went out the opening weekend, but after that the movie flopped. It’s crazy to see out of all the legendary killas only one true horror legend is left standing and that’s Michael Myers.

I honestly loved how they went deeper into Jason's characteristics. Here, he is shown as a hunter, someone who knows the lay of the land and how to survive. He knows how to keep the camp going and how to maintain his equipment. But at the same time, he's still very much a child in pain, as we see when he vents his frustration on the canoes and when he's first calmed by the missing sister. Because of his mental handicap and his disfigurement, he has been forced to live in isolation without the comfort of the only person who ever showed him any love.

Funny thing is at the time I wasn’t even trying to get into acting but a casting agent found me on social media and said that I had the look they wanted and the next day I was in wardrobe on the set of Friday Night Lights tv show playing a gang member lol It was a fun experience and I learned a lot behind the scenes.

Derek Mears was the perfect choice for playing Jason, I also love the fact that he fights Kane Hodder in Hatchet 3. Two Jason Voorhees actors fighting each other in another horror film is awesome

The clossest we ever got to a Sam Winchester vs Jason Voorhees, and dammit was it worth it. This movie was an underrated remake next to the 2010's A Nightmare on Elm Street, both movies had the perfect ending for a Freddy vs Jason 2

Ewww ! I disagree that nightmare on elm street 2010 being underrated. the script and characters and cgi in the 2010 was trash. If you want a real underrated slasher watch candyman 1992.

@@bobbybernard5977 The Characters needed more development yes. Rooney Mara's performance was a little bit lazy considering she's an Oscar nominated actress. I liked the remake, first #1 - The Visual effects of the transition into a nightmare where amazing in my opinion. #2 - Jackie Haley's performance as Freddy was scary and fascinating.

Loved this. It was an actually well made and well thought concept which was executed perfectly unlike some Friday films. I can't even decide with myself whether I like the hulking dump truck Undead Jason more or this more realistic and more human Jason the most.

They should make a sequel and make a new Tommy Jarvis for this timeline. Make him a kid in the first sequel. Then, the next sequel, make Tommy like a Jason hunter. I think that would be awesome

Not intense or great movie but the best jason type and portrayal of Jason ever so far. He fast, skillful, unstiff, showed mercy to whitney, he's quite intelligent and it shows he actually trains so thats why i give this movie a thumbs up with no purple star

I've seen a few and they were very good. What's yours called? I generally consider this remake a high-budget fan film. Didn't really follow the original but I guess you can't improve on perfection. I did like the bear traps, the creepy entrance to the camp, Jason's room and the tunnel systems though.
