Still pinching myself that the OG FURSTY has come back home, this car represents a huge turning point in my life, yes we’ve been in a lot of trouble together, lost my licence, seen the impound yard a couple of times, burnt through many sets of Eagers, lots of entertaining whether it be winning SkidFest burnout comps or just your local roundabout, yes I learnt a lot in this car some good some bad, I forsure was actually on a very steep downhill in life and it was at this point of my life I meet my super chick Toni , She taught me to respect, how to live, how to save money if you want something rather than just hustling building and swapping cars every weekend which I had been doing with Rotaries from the age of 14 because they were cheap, easy, loud, fast and most people hated them and having no father in my life me and the boys really were self taught with very little tools, Toni also guided and helped to get myself out of massive debt with the Police, she also believed in me that I could change this driving skill into a career, that was when we both discovered the sport of drifting and I was hooked from the second I saw Fanga & Gaz sliding around Pukekohe race track at 180kmh at the D1NZ Championship. It was at this point Toni and I in 2005 listed and sold everything we had, the TV, the VHS player, packed DVD wallets, Her show winning Benz ‘XBENZV’ and yep this rowdy 13b PP Smurf Blue 808 Wagon Estate all had to go to fund the FD RX7 build known as #MADBUL Near 20years later I find myself in a position able to bring FURSTY back home into the crazy fleet that we’ve been fortunate to build all from having a wild vision with determination and motivation to realise my dreams. Haters say I’m a showoff but my supporters know I just have an addiction to entertain.
For those of you feeling like you’re heading down the wrong path I was in my mid 20’s on a rapid downward spiral getting into a lot of trouble & debt but managed to find the determination to change, If I can turn that around so can you👌🏽, it may just require a person or a thing or even just health that you really just need in life.
