We could for sure get both of those fights still granted circumstances go its way. If Dricus beats Sean, Izzy vs Dricus could headline ufc 300. If Colby loses to Leon, him and Dustin could definitely fight still since Dustin is poking the bear at coming to 170

My personal opinion is if you call yourself a promoter you should find the most interesting things about each fighter on your roster and promote them. Often, UFC included, they expect the fighters to build their fanbase, while also trying to be a top tier athlete, and then they just glom on to the ones that are successful. I feel that is really just a matchmaker. I can see it from the otherside in that some fighters really have the personality of a potato and other fighters will use that promotion and then turn the gun back on the promoter so the promoter doesn't invest.
@RonniePTexan
@RonniePTexan 5 ай бұрын
The promoter is always trying to promote the fight and fighter. To succeed at promoting a fight and/or fighter, the fighters themselves need to help a little bit as well. It's not an either/or proposition, both parties need to participate. Both parties gain money, popularity and long term success.

What I hear you saying is what is the current trigger that has the rewards or consequences that either matter or people care about. Are there patterns with prior matches that turned out successful on the ratings. Why was Conor so much of a draw? His rise? or his attitude, what he said? Confidence sells
@RonniePTexan
@RonniePTexan 5 ай бұрын
Conor's confidence was only one small piece of the puzzle. Conor put in a ton of work doing media on his way up. He was on every radio, TV show and podcast both large and small for a couple of years. He put in the work with the media, that's the biggest piece of the puzzle.

Hi Chael, going with the idea of making big fights how about deliberating on someone different approach making things more intriguing and lot more exciting................. and creating most stars and more bang for the buck for the fans. I shared this comment in another of your post sharing post Dariush and Arman fight suddenly everyone is putting him in title contention, this is not how things worked in 155 division people had to prove their mettle multiple time before even getting into title discussion. There are so many guys thats could put Arman to a real test and have proved themselves atleast as much as Arman if not more such as Rafael Fiziev and just this weekend Jalin Turner showed his promise. Rather than running straight up to guys who have put in their work and reached at championship level sometime midway towards their prime. Let these young guys first prove themselves within the younger lot and we would love to see the fights between Fiziev's, Arman;s and Turner's with such stylistic diversity and show how good they are before jumping straight out to the title contention. Fans would love to Arman vs. Fiziev it will be a treat of the match-up. Why dont we dont talk more about these possibilities as much at least in 155 where we have such great talent to talk about.
