We really need a season 2 fast

I loved the chemistry between owen and max i know Hanna is probably his main love interest but owen and max's relationship was the heart of the show for me and you could tell towards the end you max was struggling with her feelings for owen because she was starting to actually care about him but her whole life has been about survival and caring about somebody could jeopardize her ability to do what needs to be done

I thought it was really good, had no expectations and didn’t think I would like the main character but I was wrong. He was very charismatic and likeable

I stopped liking Hannah the moment she flew out to Geneva. And then my dislike for her grew when she called her mom to check up on him and then when she followed him to Prague.

The show was surprisingly fun and Noah Centineo's performance was surprisingly good.

If max is really dead. I don't want to watch this show ever again.

I really hope that Max is not dead. She was the most interesting character in this show.

I think lester would be more friendly towards Owen because of how violet pushed him away and you see him try and not be completely complacent to go along with her plans little bit even if it was vary minimal

Owen is such a tragically flawed character. I think the show did an excellent job of portraying just how over his head he ended up. The show repeatedly showed he never had any contingency plans and often ran into situations where he needed to be bailed out. There's a scene where he refuses to take a gun as a direct denial of ever having to take a life. He goes out of his way to risk his own life and by association those around him by avoiding the use of lethal weapons so much so that even when he picks up a gun he hasn't fully accepted that he might have to use it even while being shot at. This absolute denial of his own reality shows the clear schism between his fantasy of what he thinks he's doing and the reality that aggressively is tearing down his own beliefs. In many ways he's shown to act like a child lacking awareness of his environment and even when presented with the outcome of his choices he fractures at the realization that his choices brought him to this outcome. In the scene where he rushes in to save Max taking a gun from an armed enforcer I was actually completely confused as why he suddenly had such an existential crises. Then I realized, here's a person who never thinks past his intentions. Obviously he figured he needed to save Max and was sane enough to realize he needed a weapon but at the same time never consider he would need to potentially kill someone in order to do it. Even when he pulled the trigger he wasn't taking control of the situation only reacting to her getting shot which could have ended differently if the other guy with a gun had decided to shoot him instead of rushing at him physically.... And ya, I think the plot armor might have been a little too obvious in that situation. Also I think his breakdown could have been handled better if he had just shot them both to begin with and THEN lost his mind. Also I was really surprised Hannah wasn't killed. The way it was shaping up it looked like her getting shot was gonna be his breaking point and honestly had she been killed before he was taken hostage I think maybe Owen would have realized that he needs to start solving his own problems and stop asking to get bailed out over and over again. Great example of someone both intelligent and stubbornly idiotic at the same time. To think had Owen just shot both guys and left with Max instead of having a psychological breakdown this season could have ended with Owen realizing that it's actually himself who needs saving. And Hannah being alone in Prague realizing that she has literally no clue what she's doing anymore and it's time she quit chasing after old memories. A lesson in maturity and realizing the consequences of life choices. Every path in life begins with the first step or in some cases stumble.

I liked the series but I don't think I'll continue watching if Max is really dead. Owen and Max were co-leads in the show to me you can't really continue it with just one. It's like the show Killing Eve you need both Eve and Villanelle to work.

Max got shot in the plot armour - she’s fine. But what I don’t get is how her daughter Karolina looks the same age as her 😂

They better teach Owen self-defense lessons in season 2, time to get promoted from lawyer to a real deal agent.

i binged this entire season in one sitting, here watching this video because i couldnt get enough. unfortunately this didnt give me that. You told me everything that the show obviously explained.

I liked this series a lot, but I think there needed to be some closure. It felt like it ended in the middle of the season.

Whens season 2 coming out??? And I'm glad they made it where he realizes shes an actual psychopath and even tho he felt bad and had a little understanding of what shes going thru, he realizes this is not worth putting his life at risk or his spirit consumed

It felt like a well told Tom Clancy novel, better than the official tv serie, they are currently pushing out. I just hope they have a all planned out arc, to explain what happens forward.

I'm just glad that Hannah is alive. I thought someone wanted to kill her when she got the anonymous message on her phone. As for Max's death, I'm not surprised by it. People who live that life tend to end up dead eventually.

Yooooo something I Remembered watching this were I don't think Max Is dead. When Max went shopping she bought Owen a bullet proof vest and through It to him and he said I am not wearing that, I am betting that Max was wearing that when she was shot.

I believe since Karolina was working for the other russian Max met regarding the Xander case, they knew she was going to meet with Lev since she told them to send the 2mil to them. So they came to eliminate Lev and Max and seize the deal money.

I think that in the end all this is just a test to see how trustworthy Owen is, and they are going to ask him to become an agent

This series should be called "The Survivor", because Max was the main character, she guided the arcs of the series (getting out of prison, getting the money, Prague city), she had a well-developed past in addition to the actress acting amazingly, thank you Laura . What do we know about Owen? That he had a good relationship with his father who died, but that was just talked about, that he has a problem with his mother, where is she? The only flashback shown is with Hannah who is (sadly) a flat character who doesn't stop orbiting Owen and is only there for him. Amelia is another interesting character who has been underexplored and has a lot of potential. The ending was disappointing for me, it feels like the story was cut off abruptly, what happened to the process of muddying the Janus problem? Where is Dawn? What happened to Lester? And Nyland? If "killing" Max was the only way to deliver a season 2 cliffhanger, it was disrespectful to the show's true protagonist. I'll echo with several here: if Max is dead, it's not even worth having a season 2; Only to bring Owen's parents and his relationship problems with friends, university and girlfriends? This will hardly compare with killing an abusive husband, losing a daughter, survive in the Russian mafia and become an informant for the CIA. But the series was fun, Owen is the Jack Ryan I wanted :)

I just finished episode 8 and I have no idea what tf I just watched to be honest. Every single spy movie trope turned inside out...a comedy turned into a freaking tragedy....it's got me stumped.

Get video, but my theory is that the text to Hannah that Owen was in Prague was sent from Violet … She probably had her contact after meeting her and discovered her relationship with Owen, and she’s ambitious enough to manipulate her into a volatile situation as leverage over Owen given that she wants him to fail for her own benefit. I could be wrong, and maybe it was Karolina … However, I do think that’s a bit of a stretch as she didn’t even really know who Owen was, so she’d have no way of knowing who Hannah is, let alone their relationship. Just my take on that.

I don’t think Karolina is the person who text Hannah because of the ending of Season 1. If she know Owen’s true identity, why would she ask him why he was with Max?

Just finished it. Loved it. BUT THE ENDING. Agggh not even mad about the cliffhanger cause it was just so good

I enjoyed the first season, and really hate to have to wait a year before we see what happens next.

Max gave Owen a bp vest and karolina shot her in the chest, so hopefully she survived. I don't like the ben stiller type of stupidity that owen was displaying at the end. Real life, Max would have neutralized a weak pawn. No such personality types as Violet and Lester in the agency. Seemed too much of a poor lethal weapons banter and not well acted by violet. Max displayed alot of tradecraft for someone not officially trained, her backstory would be a good addition if she survived.

It's uncanny how Max looks like Angela Jole. Sheesh. I had to keep on reminding myself that it was not her.

I'm a little late to the show, BUT I have to say it also feels kinda good because we're closer to a season 2 now. I really hope Max survives because I think that they should continue with the character, at least for a while, AND i really like that character and especially with Owen, so I hope this isn't the end of her.

Should’ve been Hannah that died. It was already foreshadowed with Owen saying people close to him were getting hurt by his actions. Her death and him trying to come to terms with that and his relationship with Terence. I hate how they feel Hannah HAS to be the one he ends up with because she’s his first real love. Hannah being spared at the very end also made no sense. She was literally a witness to his kidnapping and she was left alive? Max needs to be alive 😢

The best charachter is Kristian Bruun's, with a constant panic attack since 2019 :D

So Owen had a huge issue after having to shoot a guy in the head. Never shot anyone before. Yet, he had no issues a few minutes earlier when he smashed another guy's head with that iron bar.

After watching four in a row episodes of The Recruit, couldn’t decide if the writer, producers, director and even the editors were trying to be funny or just down right stupidly crazy. The salvable carácter is the leading actor and for crissake writers, if you have to use a female ‘killer’ use a Sharon Stone like!👎👎👎

Good show but horrible “season finale”. No doors were closed, everything was still up in the air, no closure on anything. That would be fine, I suppose, if season 2 was already readily available. Season 1 “finale” felt like just another episode, like, there’s no way that was the ending. Ughh. Was expecting closure and/or something new and interesting to look forward to in season 2. I don’t see myself waiting until 2024 to see what should have been the ending of the 2022 season.

Theres no way daughts killing her mother right away. Im still going to believe max is still alive if its not i dont think im gonna enjoy watching s2 as much as i enjoyed s1.

I watched episode 1 and dumped it. Too silly for me. I watched The Night Agent before this and that was a real adrenaline rush heart-pounding suspense thriller much better than this. I will be passing on this and moving on to Treason next but nothing can top The Night Agent. See for yourself.

I'm probably the only one on here that felt they lost hours of their life watching this unbelievable show. I know it's for entertainment but if you're going to make a show about the CIA at least make it somewhat believeable. The Owen character IMO was a childish and irritating person. I'm not going to waste my time watching season 2.

Anyone else expected Hannah to be shot or wounded when the van pulled up. Owen might settle with Hannah but that will cost Hannah a lot, it would also make her character appear weak and dependant. On the other hand, if they try to develop the relationship of Owen and Max, it would kinda be toxic coz they don't trust each other's even if they want to plus Owen would literally go crazy with the life of espionage before getting the hand of it. Overall the show was pretty good but made me regret watching it coz it only has 8 episodes

My main problems with the show is that the story structure was very redundant. 1) Max puts him in some shit that he has to fix 2) They face the danger 3) He miraculously has a silver tongue where he has some much cockiness like he is the only smart one there 4) He miraculously survives the most dangerous gangs 5) He becomes the hero and saves the day By the 4th episode, I was already tired but wanted to see how it ended. Another thing was, there were a lot of moments where I knew what was coming even before they did. The acting was amazing and some of the stories were interesting but it become boring quickly.

If you want to kill someone you shoot them in the head. Carolina shooting at her mom in the shoulder is more like a statement of an angry daughter, upset at her mother for leaving her but doesn’t want to kill her just hurt her. She would have seriously put a bullet in her head if she really meant to kill her. Anyways Max and Owen are the heart of show. TBH I knew her daughter was alive all this time because Max wanted to go home so badly plus it was never explained to us how her daughter died. Was too obvious. I don’t like Hannah, she is like a hurt puppy…. Should have left Owen cause he is a mess, but she keeps lying to herself. Max knows what he is and she is trying to show him that but he is refusing and still not realizing who and what he is.

I don’t know who came up with the idea of making the name Meladze Belarusian, because it’s a Georgian surname, and Georgians will never call a girl by the name Maxim. And what does Belarus and the Georgian surname have to do with it? The Soviet Union ended for 30 years, did this film have a consultant at all?
