I like the idea of goliath’s having different resistances depending on their giant lineage. Like a frost giant goliath would have cold resistance and fire giant goliaths that live on volcanos would have fire resistance.

I've done that with genasi! I made a fire genasi rune knight that, while stocky like a dwarf, was taller than most humans. He was a half-giant, and took a lot after the giant parent.

Absolutely! It was quite missed with the Goliath race! Maybe with the new Giant book coming next spring!

I have played as a "Storm Goliath". Gave him white hair, electric blue eyes, resistance to lightning damage and the Shocking Grasp cantrip. Great as a Tempest Cleric.

Not D&D related but I've been re-binging all of your content again Just wanted to say I really enjoy the enthusiasm and the way you throw your voice out there The whimsical background music And I'm super appreciative of the way you can cram constant ideas into just a few seconds of dialogue Other than the comedic ones, it's seemingly difficult to add re-watchability to D&D videos Once you've seen a few videos on a topic you kinda get the gist But your videos and their spectacular formatting make it all the more impactful and interesting You've really found that sweet spot between being content juicy, without being too topic heavy Sometimes KZfaq videos can be a slog to make But you've really got that lightning in a bottle inspiration that most D&D fans are searching for Appreciate you and your vids man You're doing great

I love the Hexblood! I have a Horizon Walker that I really want to play, a Hexblood Tiefling who was created when a Hag made a deal with a Fiend. He is the living contract between them (literally having Sylvan and Infernal script written all over his body) and is currently trying to find a way to kill one of them. The reason why? They're trying to kill him, as a means of "burning the contract."

Hexblood Warforged. A Feylost Warforged Wakens once again, and having been living within the Fey for so long, the Warforged can use it's Token feature with a pouch of bolts, screws, and other items left in the chassis of the Warforged. It has all the visual notes on being a Hexblood, but instead of a "wreath vine" headband, it's fused steel cable which has a carved or smithed look to it.

Originally, I was going to make a silly 'Fruit Bat' type of thing, of course it still can be, but I realized Dhampir can be a member of *any* race; so, I came up with something different. Dhampir Hungers: "...gain sustenance from the living." Vampiric Bite: "...hit a creature that isn’t a Construct or an Undead..." Both of these are quotes from the Guide to Ravenloft book. My point: neither say "Humanoid", only that the prey must be living, and it can't be a Construct or an Undead creature. Does that mean a Dhampir can feed on any creature type that aren't those two? If yes, that's interesting, to me. Now, I know it isn't 'optimal' because you would lose things like your Fire Resistance and innate spell casting, but a Fire Genasi Dhampir that feeds on Plant Type creatures: Awakened Shrubs, Treants, Myconids, etc. or maybe even Fae Types, as an ever hungering flame might be an interesting take, I think. Spider Climb: of course, fire climbs upwards, and Deathless Nature: fire that doesn't need to breath... Greek Fire/Thermite, anyone? It might even pair well thematically with the Wildfire Druid subclass. Anyways! On the off chance anyone happens to read this and enjoys the idea, feel free to use it! ^^

That idea is sick! And, because Jinchūriki are so varied, I could see almost any kind of character becoming one. Ha! Maybe even a Silkpunk (Asian Style) campaign with the entire party being Aasiamr/Jinchūriki, but each character manifests their Tailed-Beast differently via different classes/subclasses. Of course, I noticed you dropped the race, but not the class/subclass for a Jinchūriki's Chakra Cloak; and, now I'm curious what you would choose. Base Barbarian for going into a rage, extra strength, and durability? Wild Magic Barbarian for unpredictability caused by not knowing what you're doing, or Totem Warrior to take on the Tailed-Beast's more animalistic traits? Astral Self Monk so you could learn to use the power gradually, eventually wearing the power fully, and of course, for the Reach so you could mimic the stretchy chakra punch thing? Swarmkeeper Ranger? I know a fair number think of Gaara, but I imagine more Killer Bee; you know, sprouting a tail to use in combat. Also, 10 feet of flight for a minute? If jumping into the air and staying there for a minute isn't one the most anime thing ever, I don't know what is. Either way, it was still a really cool idea that sang to anime loving/nerdy heart.

If I had a nickel for every time people wanted to play a Tiefling, but also be a cat person like a Tabaxi, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's surprising how often it pops up. To fix this, I merely reflavored one of the Tiefling subraces to emulate more of Raksasha features. Not the biggest thing, but it's what the people want XD
