Apparently adding an "x" in the name will make any vehicle instantaneously more rugged and thus more desirable.

As many have said, removing the signature amber DRLs was a huge mistake. Not sure how their marketing department couldn't have figured that one out.

Kia needs to find a way to increase production of this vehicle. 20% is a good start but I’m sure they could sell 200k of these a year.

I pulled up to a kia dealership on the 13 of May. My wife needed a oil change for her Kia Sportage. As soon as I hit the lot, they were putting the stickers on the Telluride, and water was falling off of it, because it came straight off the truck, and went straight to the washer. And I drove away with it, 2 hours later!!!!❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

I think it’s a good look. For anyone complaining bout the DRL light I’m sure u can just swap out the ‘23 light with a 20-22 model.

I’m glad I ordered the ‘22 SX-P back in December and just had it confirmed. I do like some of the ‘23’s updates, such as the larger infotainment screen and USB-C outlets (that, frankly, should have been added by now anyway), but I’ll still have things I really like, such as the signature DRLs and the “Telluride” lettering on the front. I honestly just don’t know what they were thinking when they decided to remove the amber DRLs

I LOVE the updates to the inside especially that dash and instrument panel😍 My biggest disappointment that I was hoping would be added in a refresh since it’s usually a front and rear update is the addition of a true dual exhaust instead of the dual single outlet. IMO would make the rear look 💯

Glad we got our 22 when we did. Not a fan of the front end.

Really wish they would make a performance model like the Ford Explorer. Would absolutely love a telluride with a stinger engine

The refresh will drive even more customers toward the Telluride. I also liked the former DRLs, but the new DRLs make it look a bit more upscale and classy.

The amber daytime running lights were the Hallmark distinctive look/feature of this vehicle and now they've ruined it. That's the problem with Kia and Hyundai. They overhaul the looks too often and sometimes mess up a good thing. The Telluride has fallen victim to that. I'm not saying it doesn't still look good. It just doesn't look great anymore.

Completely disagree with you on this. They made the styling terribly worse. What sold the vehicle to men was the front facia. Now it has a typical Kia face and doesn't look nearly as good. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales decline.

Although I do miss the amber drl lights, KIA makes up for it with the technology and full digital infotainment screen. Still one of my favorite SUVs out.

I have the 2023 Telluride SX in that exact color. I love it!!! I bought it end of Jan although my engine light came in 2 days ago and it has a small pressure leak, it’s the charcoal canister valve isn’t completing a seal. They said it’s safe to drive till it gets fixed next week but I’m going to only drive it close by and when necessary until I can get it fixed.

Sorry, but no. Kia has watered down something unique that they created. The new standardized Kia grille kills its identity. The one thing that hasn’t changed and is still a joke, is the asymmetrical exhaust setup. Why go through the effort of designing those good looking tail pipes if they only go on one side?? I always wanted to like this car but never really did - now I like it even less.

I was hoping they would put that 2.5L turbo in this suv that’s in the Sorento. That engine is a monster but if they do keep the normal transmission and not the DCT

Never liked the amber lights. Just looked like all the older vehicles driving around with their parking lights on! The daytime white lights are more visible then the amber and throw more light on the road and when the dummies don't turn on their lights when it's raining.

I heard they had internal debate about the naming of the XPRO package. Almost called it the POSER package.

I like the design but dislike the headlights look. The new Kia badge looks great. Inside is nice and has a sporty feel with luxury look. Price is actually fair too.

I took delivery of my 2022 in April. I absolutely love mine and I'm glad I got one with the square DRL's before they went away. Also as a traditionalist I'm glad I got one with regular gauges and not a full screen.

That attention to detail on those seemingly small items is what distinguishes quality and separates one brand from the next. Especially thing like the wireless changer being too small when it seems to the owner like making is just a bit bigger would be such a minor tweak. Just take the flagship phones and add a rigged case then make room for that. Its the exact same concept as with water bottle bins and cup holders. There's typically that wish they were just a little bit bigger. BTW, those new designers are the Germans, if any of the upscale bits look vaguely familiar -- except the fake exhaust.

I have them tires on my 18 grand Cherokee overland they been great tires so far. Rotated every 5,000 miles with oil changes . I got like 10 thousand on them so far and their utqg is high.

I bet it takes about an hour once this is released for someone to release a module with programming to change the DRLs to orange. The orange lights area already in there for the turn signals. Seems like an easy switch.

That’s the AX6 series tires. i’ve been using this model for a year now. Acceptable off-road performance and relatively quiet on road. Also pretty fuel-efficient as it’s a “AT tire”. Honestly it’s more like in between AT n HT tires. Which is a perfect match for the Telluride X pro version.

I would have thought Kia would have added Sand & Mud/Rut driving modes to this trim. I believe they are standard on some models in Canada. It certainly looks good, and the light duty "off-road" tires give it a more capable look. But as Nate says it's more appearance than anything. A competitor like the Pathfinder would appear better equipped for light duty off-roading. It would be interesting if TFL compared the two vehicles at some point. If Kia improved upon the driving dynamics with this more like Mazda's and gave it more low-end torque it would really set it apart even more! Overall though it's a very well packaged and good-looking vehicle.

I liked the older style, too. Missing amber ring & original headlight style. I liked the SX model with monochromatic paint. Like the new digital dash and updated taillights. I predict sales will drop, too. I tried to convince my wife back in 2020 to buy one of these, but she chose the 4 runner. She doesn’t like it now!

I have no complaints about the interior updates, but there is not a single exterior update that I like.

The tail lights angled look is much better but removing the Amber daytime running light was a huge mistake. They made the vehicle standout. This new DRL set up is lame without any thought. Also in the rear, it was better with only the word TELLURIDE spelt out instead of KIA stamped on top of it. Looks more comical now. They could use a better looking design on that new wheel but l I’ll hold my judgement till I see the wheels in the rest of the trims.

Before I sold my 2021 telluride, I waited months to see the 2023 before my purchase, when I saw that the amber DRL's were deleted for 2023, I bought a 2022 instead. The amber lights are so desirable that having them will probably add more value to all the 2022's with the amber DRL's.

The camera spent much more time on the salesman than it did on the car.

I want to love this, but just can’t. I have had so many issues with my Kia Soul. With How Kia handled the engine fire situation, I felt they put my family at risk, and they lost my trust.

I purchased a 2021 Kia Sorento sx prestige xline and me and my family love it but we are just too many and unfortunately when all seats are in use we have very little storage space in the back so we are looking to get a bigger suv and I really like this new telluride but would prefer the top trim or we are also eying the new Toyota Sequoia so hopefully we can get our hands on either one for msrp because I know how crazy things are now but that’s part of it and I can also say I’m benefiting from it sine I could probably still get my money back right now for my used Sorento. ✌️

Seems important to let prospective buyers know that the 2023 Telluride will NOT have a spare tire. The first and obvious problem is that the Kia “tire mobility kits” are typically useless for serious sidewall damage and blowouts. The second and less obvious problem is that in many parts of the country now, tow trucks (if towing is necessary because of the absence of a spare) refuse to carry passengers. So it’s a realistic possibility that you could find yourself on a freeway or a rural road with an non-repairable flat tire and the option to have your car towed away, leaving you stranded in a dangerous place.

To bad no amber DRL anymore. I have a 22 SX on order that will likely be converted to an early 23 model. It is possible KIA put a setting option to make the new DRL amber. Also, new listings still shows an SX model along with the X* models. Maybe the new '23 SX preserved the old amber DRL(doubtful I know). But I know one thing. If it's really gone, it's gone forever. :(

the telluride is selling a lot because its beautiful.....ordinary people dont look much about performance and sometimes not even reliability....imagine how hyundais and kias in the past years were catching fire.....and this telluride is selling a lot now.....in short the beauty of a vehicle is a major factor in the buying decision
