In ~2012 I met Roger Klyne in a Fry's grocery store in the Phx AZ east valley where I reside. He was promoting his new solo album ( of course I bought). We talked for about 10 mins reminiscing the 90's and all the places these guys played at in Tempe, AZ. Roger was so down-to-earth friendly it was as if we'd personally known each other for years. Great guy, great band, great memories. Saludos to Roger and mi amigos from down Douglas, AZ way.

There were so many albums like that in the 90's. Great from start to finish. Now people just produce hit songs and put them on an album full of trash, and they don't care because the hit brings them in the money. Sad waste of radio time.

One of the best front to back albums I ever heard. Top three for sure. It’s up there with meat loaf - bat out of hell or Aerosmith - pump.

I was walking thru Best Buy many years ago and this was playing. I had never heard of any of the songs, or the band but I bought on the spot. I'm an old classic rock guy so this is the only album I ever bought that I never heard of before, but I loved every song the very first time I played it. This is a great, great album!!

I saw them in Raleigh North Carolina one time at some small little bar as Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers back around 2005. Best show I ever saw in my entire life. Incredible. I treasure that day, just for how good the show was. Really good emotional live performance. The way they talked about leaving away to Mexico for months at a time. I still want to go someday. Some beach island paradise.

Love this song. Love this album. Love this band! I really wish they had done more. These guys provided the soundtrack for my college experience, and this was my personal theme song for years. When I drank with friends, I still sometimes raise a bottle or glass and say: "As cliched as it may sound, I'd like to raise another round; and if your bottle's empty, help yourself to mine. Thank you for you time, and here's to life." I've got it all worked out, yo: As cliched as it may sound, (this sentiment has been expressed before) I'd like to raise another round (It's a worthy sentiment, and we're doing this again, yo) And if your bottle's empty, help yourself to mine (my life has gifted me with plenty, and if you can benefit from my excess, then please take it) Thank you for your time, (ultimately, time is the universal constant. All we have is time, and who we choose to spend it with is an important decision) And here's to life. (this is why we're all here; to live our various lives in the company of those who we deem worthy of our presence. Let's celebrate that.)

Mekong whiskey is not from Taipei, Taiwan. Mekong is a Thai brand of whiskey linked here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mekhong_(spirit) and a major river along the Thai, Cambodia, Vietnam border. The majority of the song takes place in a Bangkok bar. The reference to Taipei could be the connecting flight to Bangkok, Thailand via Taipei as China Airlines hub is in Taipei, Taiwan. But make no mistake, this song is about THAILAND!
