Yes, it's unfair to call him that. In fact, it's not his fault that all the dragons died. This is the result of a War where there is no winner and no loser.

Bcs he didn't let any dragons around. He didn't even want to restore the dragons while he actually could have. So it's not literally means he killed the dragons, it's just means that he opposed the idea of bringing back the dragons. I mean with 5 children, he could've put eggs on their cradle (Daemon has 20 eggs at Dragonstone) but he didn't bcs he didn't want any dragons

This boy probably has the most tragic childhood of all kings. He witness the war at 8-9 yrs old, he witness his dragon's dying for saving him, he witness his brothers/mother/wife/best friend died, forced to live with his mother's murderer. He really struggled to live

The kid lost all four of his brothers and his dad, and then to top it off, he watched his uncle feed his mom to a dragon. Small wonder why he turned out the way he did.

He wasnt a bad king tho tbf, he kinda harshly critiqued as a broken king but he had plenty of "Kingly" moments like when he held strong during the secret siege or dismissing all his power hungry regents on his nameday, he was just emotionless after suffering so much and did not give af bout anyone but his family.

That is, sadly, realistic to history. People with mental health issues are judged incredibly hard in historical sources and I hate it.

He wasn’t a bad king. He was 11 when he became king and he was 15 when he begin his period. Ruled a broken Westeros that was still pretty divided and recovering from the war and the winter fiver. He ruled for 23 years with his brother Viserys as hand to the king. They tried to poison his little queen and he remain kneel by her side, sadly his friend Gaemon did not survived the poisoning. The only reason Aegon wasn’t poison was because he did not like sweets. He wasn’t describe as a cruel man or a cruel ruler, husband or father growining up with only memories of what his family was growing up with dragonstone. He was a super king for having to stand through so much at such young age.

@@faiz12345 no it was believed he was but then it was confirm it wasn’t and Aegon II handle the ones spreading the rumor and made Gaemon Aegon III’s weeping boy (which is the child that gets beat up or hurt if the royal child misbehaved as royal princes can’t be hit. They pick a boy that the royal child enjoys and cares about so that he would behave and they would t hurt his friend) Gaemon relationship with Aegon III was so heart felt. He would keep his friend with him everywhere he went.

If they ever get there, I hope the series decides once and for all whether or not Daeron II was Aemon Dragonknight's son or not. My take? He isn't. He's Aegon IVs. But, oh, how he would have loved to have his beloved uncle as his true father instead of Aegon Dragonpig. I also hope he does his mother Naerys justice by interring her ashes with Aemon instead of with Aegon.

@@nicholash1691He was. Aemon joined the Kingsguard at 17 and served 5 kings. His uncle being the 1st. Then Aegon's 2 sons. Then his father, Viserys. And finally his pos brother, Aegon the 4th.

Damn the elder Aegon III’s art looks so much like Matt Smith (who’s playing Daemon, Aegon III’s father in the show). 😮 The director did such a fabulous job with casting.

It was said that Aegon III did not like to be touched, nor did he find joy in fatherhood. The man had 5 children. Don't tell me he wanted 5 children only out of duty. Plus his eldest daughter Daena practically worshipped Aegon. His youngest daughter Elaena wore black all the time, to emulate Aegon. I like to think that behind closed doors, Aegon showed a little softer side to his wife and kids.

Jaehaera probably committed suicide. Both Aegon III and Jaehaera were depressed from the dance, except in Jaehaera case is that all the greens were wiped out from her side. Aegon and his sisters (Baela and Rhaena) couldn’t care less because they all were grieving in their own way and didn’t even ish any association with a Green child (not Jaehaera’s fault in this). Aegon in the other hand became all numb to emotions. The only time he ever showed a reaction to was when he saw Rhaena’s dragon and when he saw Viserys after so many years.

@@tbakhalid4781 She was definitely thrown out the window on the orders of Unwin Peake. She was only 10 and landed on spikes, don't think if someone wanted to commit suicide they'd want to go out in such a painful way. Always was around the time Unwin Peake was pulling crazy moves to further his ambitions.

Didn't Rhaena hatch Morning at the end of the dance, and later rode her during Aegon's reign? Morning didn't die anytime during his reign, what happened to her?

I think Morning was either a male dragon and probably died after Rhaena’s death or simply grew weaker after the deaths of all dragons since magic went away slowly.

All that was told to us is that the last of the dragons died in 153 AC, 22 years after the Dance ended. That means Rheana’s dragon Morning, died in that time frame.

morning hatched during the dance, on 131 ac but was too small to participate in the war. not much is known about what happened to morning, probably stayed in with rhaena in oldtown or at least somewhere in the reach

This Guy watch his Mom was kill ate or burn by His Uncle Aegon 2nd Dragon Sunfryer who lost one of his wings because of Blacks team that's serve Queen Rhaenyra but doing King Aegon 2nd last ring who died of poison pass down to Aegon 3rd as real King of Iron throne but He became the broken heart King who hates dragons and witness all His love ones died, but his brother Visery 2nd Is still alive they was both separated as kids during war but reunited when they both was teenagers they both was so happy to have each other it's been while kinda Jon Snow reunited with Sansa and Arya family reunion.

Because with Rhaenyra’s death, the records of her reign were banned and named taboo. Hence it closed all doors for any girl to ever ascend the throne. In fact Rhaenyra’s name itself became such a bad luck that no one ever named anyone Rhaenyra anymore.

Because then aegon would actually admit that rhaenerya was the rightful heir all along if he named his daughter future queen and the war was for nothing.
