Can relate suffering has led me to more spirituality and I had a spiritual awakening a few years ago after the "Dark nights of the soul" and actually felt myself ascend. Thank you Dr. Levine. "Knowledge is power", self-empowerment. Blessed be~

My translation: titration of suffering through exposure therapy can be done in context of your organized faith... I told my pastor that the psalms are like exposure therapy if you read them as if they’re really true (even though they are not right now)... but I’m really lucky and have found a church that I feel healthy and creative with... she listened and agreed with me...

I am unsure how helpful that assertion would be for many. Smacks a bit of the neo-liberal attempt to download blame on the victim by implying that it is their own fault for bringing it on themselves or by just not thinking positively enough.
