I’m so grateful that our church not only believes that prayer is the engine of the church, but that it has prayer on consistent basis weekly with plans to have prayer 7 days a week. Our pastor frequently reminds us that the first century church was the example of prayer. They were either going to a prayer meeting, leaving a prayer meeting, or were in a prayer meeting! Prayer is our communion with the Father. We not only enter into His presence with praise, worship, and petition; we must learn to be still and wait on Him. This is often the most challenging part of prayer….the listen and the wait. Father, help us to wait on You with expectation.

Many preachers don't even remind their church congregation to vote on voting day. In my Church in SC, a small Catholic Church, we always pray … at every single mass. And the homily on Sunday? Our priest told us to never give up. The whole homily was about never giving up. After Mass, there was a special prayer service and then those of us in attendance walked around the perimeter of our church singing and praising God. As I watched this group I thought to myself “We are God’s … oh what’s the word? “ I couldn’t think of it. And then it came to me ‘Remnant’. We are God’s remnant. So I was amazed when I saw the title of this GH15 pop up in my notifications this morning. Truly a confirmation from our good Lord.
