lego really needs to lower their prices. If that set were on shelves today, you know it would be at least 400 dollars. If knockoff companies can make them for 50, lego can make this for 100

LEGO probably couldn’t make it for that cheap. The knockoff companies likely don’t pay their workers fair wages. They also didn’t design the set, so they didn’t need to pay designers. Finally, LEGO bricks are of a much higher quality than the KO ones, and the figures have much nicer printing.

@@OpticBlast-yk5hf Lego has been raking in record profits for years and years, each year being more profitable than the last. The price increases that have occured are excessive. Even ignoring knockoff brands, looking at the prices of brick brands that don't steal designs, they are able to produce comparable, quality builds for significantly less than what lego would.

@@OpticBlast-yk5hf to be honest inflation made lego so much expansive. I compared the 2008 AT-TE and the one I bought this year which sells for about 40 euros more vs the 90 euros in 2008 and it's so much smaller... the quality is better but I dont think it's enough to keep me from buying fake legos that look as good

Honestly it would be 200 to 250, but even then the set would be more detailed, if it was 400 it wouldn't sell as a play set, which the set is, also I know I'm late

The stickers are clear, I got one of these yonks ago, but they didn’t include the last part for the build so they sent me another two full complete ones, now I have a clone army

I bought the exact same set from the same seller on AE. I remember going through the same emotions, super excited on getting a set I absolutely loved when I was younger, but could not afford. Boom 50 Bags (I counted) ended resorting to small plastic dishes to sort pieces by color. Took me about 5 evenings and couldn't wait to finish. Love the build, yes being a knockoff there are some small tradeoffs in quality (Technic Pieces not as strong) and it sits a little funny but definitely can be posed. Now the next challenge is how to display this monstrosity. Love the video, keep them coming mate

Had one of these when I was younger, gave it away in my teen years given the price now I regret it. My sons getting to the Lego age now, definitely buying this to play with him will be nice to share the enjoyment without breaking the bank Thanks for reviewing

That moment you realise the stickers are mostly transparent so it didn't matter that it was yellow

I also bought some fake sets. Some of the better ones were the 2007 MTT, the UCS Slave 1, the UCS SSD and the star destroyer. Lately I've bought more custom clones from aliexpress that look way better than the original lego. Commander Cody, the Bad Batch and so on are much better fake than the original Lego ones (and also way cheaper).

Yeah I tend to find with the minifigures you get 360 print, waist capes and all sorts… I’m thinking of what to buy and review next… what would you recommend? I like the sound of the MTT, Slave 1 and Super Star destroyer

I also got the 2007 MTT and the 2013 gunship, only difference is i got them from temu. Both are amazing Quality, gonna buy the dropship next

I've been looking at this set for a while, but can't really figure out if I have the space to display it. Would it be possible for you to measure it ? I'm mostly interested in the dimensions of the dropship...wingspan, lenght (not including cannons), distance between legs (when it sits by it's own), and height (by it's own, and also attached to the at-op). I'd really appreciate it. Great video, if I was 100% percent sure about the space i'd buy it in a heartbeat. Thanks :)

Hey I promise you that you can use those stickers because I got the same exact set online and it came with that yellow sticker sheet but the stickers are clear so they don’t look yellow when you put them on

I bought that same one i got it fer £60 best thing ever. The hate fer fakes is tu much like with sets that are still out i wouldn't get a fake. But ones that are long gone and go fer like 5 times the price fakes ar a good way tu get them.

the sticker sheet is not stickers they are decals so you need other things to put them on the ship/bricks
