Here it is - the video I've been working on for so long! I've tried to include as much information and show as much as I can, while not rambling on too much... Hopefully, you guys understand more why and not just *how*. hey can anyone help me with this problem I'm having lmao i've just got reshade for the first time and i've done everything in this tutorial, but when i click off the display depth like she does at 8:52 nothing happens and i'm wondering if it's bc on my reshade it doesn't come up with half of the effects that she's got like the adaptive fog etc, do i need to download these things or add them in some how? i've also tried using other people's presets and those haven't worked either, i'm wondering if it's because of the same issue! if anyone has a suggestion please help me out 😭

When I click the Display depth it shows left part purple and right one white :( I clicked on Copy depth bigger before clear operations.. How to fix it?🥺🥺

i followed this but when i go to the launcher the black bar doesn't show.. my PC meets the requirements for the install.

I know that Jess is not going to answer this, but since I do not have discord I would hope that someone can help me here. I used Epic games to download SSO ; So When I click SSO Client it shows C:\Program Files\Epic Games\ Star Stable Online\client\SSOClient.exe. is that what doesn't let me use ReShade?

It could be. I would recommend looking into downloading sso directly from the side and uninstalling the ea one

would it be possible for you to make a preset making video? I’ve seen the one where you mention some popular effects but I was wondering if you could share more about creating your own presets!

There’s not really much to it, you just put together the effects that create a look you want. I’m not sure a tutorial is very helpful, since it’s so individual and down to your own preferences

It means ReShade hasn't been able to pick up the so-called depth buffer. In the _Add-ons_ tab of ReShade, make sure you have _Copy depth buffer before clear operations_ checked. There are other things for troubleshooting, but that is the most common reason.

Note that the _DisplayDepth_ effect is just a tool to check whether ReShade has picked up the depth information. You don't use it while playing. If the depth buffer works properly, you should get black-and-white contours of your screen on the right side. If not, make sure that in the _Add-ons_ tab of ReShade, make sure you have _Copy depth buffer before clear operations_ checked. There are other things for troubleshooting, but that is the most common reason. (Edit: another being that ReShade detects you're online and thus deactivates depth buffer to prevent cheating)

@@asdfjklo234 I know its not to use while playing. I have the copy depth buffer and thing on and I am still not getting the contours. It wont show me contour. It shows me a blank white screen and a blank purple screen.

@@Lenacometcastle Come to think of it, ReShade deactivates the depth buffer when it detects online traffic, as a safety measure against cheaters, as there's a potential of misuse in some multiplayer scenarios. ReShade will display a message somewhere in the settings that depth buffer was deactivated.
