In this video, I will explain the duties and responsibilities of a ship Captain. There could be more since it varies with the type of vessel and company policy. One thing is certain, you need to have the knowledge and long experience at sea to be able to command a ship. The Captain is known as The Old Man, The Father, The Commander and the Boss... also the Owner's Representative.
Becoming a Captain is a career ladder. Some may be lucky to reach it at young age but his ability and preparedness will be tested as the profession demands.
