The Retractor

2 жыл бұрынAutomatic threading tool retractor, cutting 3/4-16 threads. I've seen a few other approaches to this, but they all seem unnecessarily complex. This is my stupidly simple design.

Can you show a bit more on your half nut disengage setup? I was tryng to figure out how to make something nearly identical to that on my clausing 6300. Seems i was at least on the right track!

the shed dweller has a complete build of some thing like that. bit different but do the same thing

You could also thread away from the chuck with the tool upside down and the spindle reversed, might help out some others no special tools needed

I have, but it gets dicey with a threaded spindle nose.
