In my headcanon, "Saturday Night Slam Masters" is the CWA's weekly TV show, their equivalent to Raw or Dynamite. Haggar signed a contract with them after he left office and is now their on-screen authority figure like Attitude era Sgt. Slaughter.

I remember the days of MVCI, when the MVC twitter announced the DLC characters with just a tweet, being the characters Sigma, Monster Hunter, Black Widow, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, and Venom. People started guessing that the Black Widow was this one from Slammasters, because there was no way they would put 4 Marvel characters and just 2 Capcom. Weird days...

I remember watching Slam Masters 2 with Max and his friends from yovideogames playing this on their Channel and I had no idea that this game was even interconnected to the street fighter lore. What I find interesting though about the sprite work for this game was that if you look at Mike haggar who's supposed to be this big huge wrestler from the final fight series and when you look at the other wrestlers that he encounters they're like towering over him.

I would LOVE to see a "Wha Happun?" on Lucha Underground.

Gunloc could be related to Charlie Nash, being the one that taught Guile the sonic moves, and Guile never stayed home long enough to teach anyone anything because he was always hunting Bison. The mayor of Metro City could cut a promo, but it would be like an old school promo.

Always wanted to play this one. I think what made the first one stand out to me was the fact it was a fighting game but it had wrestling mechanics. You could jump off the top, it had entrances, and you won by pinfall or submission. Doing away with that kind of makes it just another fighting game. Would still like to play some time though.

if there's one capcom character I wanna see be a guest character in Street Fighter 6, much like how they put in the Final fight characters and strider in Street Fighter 5 I wanna see them do that again but with Black Widow after they NAILED it with Marisa, I know they can make Black Widow a guest character and do her justice as an homage to their Slam Masters games. I couldn't get into this game. It certainly isn't bad but I feel they took a game that wasn't broke, then took out its best features (co-op, wrestling) & turned it into Street Fighter with Slam Masters characters. Ah well. This was a fun watch. Maybe it is just me but I really dig the Wrestlers' signatures. You look at Rasta Mon, who is a wild animal in the ring & in gimmick but he has quite the refined penmanship. All the wrestlers do. Also Capcom borrowing from SNK with the Black Widow "secret reveal". Makes me wonder which company was WWF & which one was WCW.
