this lady needs more bigger dogs to protect her and the herd. there are many big shepperd dog breed's that could live in the swiss mountains summer or winter. it's great to have the wolf back, may they stay for a long time.

it's terrible to introduce the wolf, just to have the government cull them years later in demand from the farmers. people should get educated in how to protect their livestock and given dogs capable to fight off wolfs, preferably dogs native to the areas, if it still happens for a wolf to make a kill, then farmers should be compensated. we must learn to share this world with all creatures.

The problem is not the shark in the sea, the jaguar in the forest or the wolf in a mountainous region. They are at home, doing what they do best: trying to survive and feed their young. Humans, on the other hand, are voracious predators driven by greed for profit and cannot stop expanding the areas they exploit and destroy.

Back in the day people had 2 or more big, chonky guard dogs which took care of the herds, now boomers got lazy, kill the wolfes and prefer crippling the food chain instead of spending a bit on good dogs. The Wolf is essential for an healthy ecosystem here.

two thirds of the wolf culled, that is terrible. farmers won't be happy until they get rid of every single one.

So nice to see shepherds at work. Reminds me of the scriptures. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand". John 10: 27-28

I don't see how the encroachment of natural vegetation into alpine areas due to less sheep grazing could ever cause problems let alone avalanches. The hills would be come more stable with more forest cover and more biodiverse.

I agree it's good to have four or six of those huge dogs. The Turkish Kangals and Georgian Ovcharkas come to mind. But it's dangerous to suggest that wolves shouldn't be killed. Human welfare should come before animal welfare. A wolf is an animal. It doesn't care for human beings. It would encorach into human territory uninvited and cause damage. We cannot have that. You can't co-exist peacefully with wolves who live in same places where you do.

Romanian Mioritic Sheppard Dogs seem up for the task, it's actually in use by sheppards all over eastern Europe, it's big, it's fun and loving. Miss farmer, you are stunning, I hope you find a solution and be happy! 😊

Well people gonna have to tell you like it is you human's will have to take care of yourselve's so instead of worrying about your sheep and cow's keep them protected or well easy prey cause's predatory ease for food

Maybe we need to eat less animal products and leave nature alone.. Wolfs and other animals have seen their hunting land being destroyed by us for profit. Its more than time that they take back what is theirs. I'm a farmer and have wild pigs, horses, eagles and what not invading my land. Its my job to secure the chickens and the crops, not their job. Wolfes are also coming closer and closer. Northwest Portugal very close to the Gerês National Park

What an animal cruelty, having those deafening bells around their necks 24/7!!! 😡 Try one for yourself for a week, see how you like it!! Get some hearding dogs instead!!!
