Yes it’s sad he hasn’t been talked about more. Soooo happy I have had a chance to discover this amazing artist through KZfaq. I feel like my dad probably listened to him in the 70s because his work brings me a joy that’s hard to describe 🥹

I appreciate any cultural/social conscious videos. But as of 2021, I found out that there are groups of white people who are held in "camps" in Africa now. I guess it's tit for tat.

Okey doke. This is NOT the glorious poem "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," this is one I have never heard before, and I am entirely grateful to you for uploading it, but, the title is misleading. What is this one called? I love it.

Thank you so much for uploading this importan poem. Can anyone help me out with the sources of this video? Maybe something to point in the direction of theres original archives? Also this might be helpful, a transcript (i might have made a mistake, english is not my first language) "I was wondering about our yesterday’s and digging through the rubble and to say the least somebody went through a hell of a lot of trouble to make sure that when we look things up we wouldn’t fare to well and we would come up with totally unreliable pictures of ourselves but i’ve compiled what few facts i could i mean, such as they are to see if we could find out a little bit of something and this is what i got so far: First, white folks discovered Africa They claimed it fare and square. Cecil Rhodes couldn’t have been robbing nobody cus Hell, there weren’t nobody there. And white folks brought all the civilization, cus there wasn’t none around How could the folks be civilized when Nobody’s writing nothing down? And just to prove all of their suspicions well Didn’t take too long They found out that they were whole tribes of people In plain sight Running around with no clothes on. That’s right. The men, the women The young and the old Righteous folks covered their eyes. And no time was spent considering the environment, hell no. This just wasn’t civilized. And another piece of information they had Or at least this is what we were taught Is that, unlike the civilized People of Europe These tribal units actually fought. And yes, there was some crude implements and Yes there was primitive art And yes there were Masters of hunting and fishing And courtesy came from the heart And yes there was love And medicine religion Inter Tribal Communication By drum But no paper, no pencils And no other utensils And hell, these folks never even heard of a gun. And this is why the colonies came To stabilize the land. Because the Dark Continent had copper and gold, and the discoverers had themselves a plan. hey would discover all the places with promise you didn’t need no titles and deeds Then they would appoint people To make everything legal To sanction the trickery and greed And back in the jungle when the natives got restless They would call it Guerilla Attack. And they would never describe it That folks finally got wise and decided that they would fight back. And still we are victims of word game Semantics is always a bitch Places once refered to as Underdeveloped Are now called Mineral-rich. And the game goes on Eternally Unity kept just reach Egypt and Libya used to be in Africa They’ve now been moved to the Middle East There are examples galore I assure you But if interpreting were left up to me I’d be sure every time folks knew this version wasn’t mine Which is why it is called His-tory."

The Zulu taught the British a lesson they never forgot in Africa. One they learned again in Afghanistan before the Russians and Americans also made it.

Damn talking about being delusional. The Battle of the Blood River saw 3 Boer casualties and thousands of Zulu perish. Battle of ulundi complete British victory, Battle of Rorkes Drift British victory. The Zulus litteraly one a single Battle in the entire history of them warring with western powers. So no lesson was ever taught by the Zulu to anyone in anything ever

Wait until you find out the whole of western civilization is built on a big white lie.
False. His name was Publius Cornelius Scipio. He was given the nickname 'Africanus' AFTER the Punic wars, centred around Carthage which was known as 'Africa' named after a local tribe called the Afri/Afra/Afar.
