In a similar boat myself. I won't bore you with the details or pry for info about your situation but these kind of things come and go, I've been there before and over time things got better. I'm not having the greatest time either at the moment but I know someday it will pass. Yes it's cliche and not all that helpful but I promise things will get better. More than anything just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in whatever you are going through. Treat yourself well as you would others, eat healthy, exercise and most importantly speak to people. All easier said than done but all are important for mental health. Last of all, you are loved and appreciated.

A lot of things Karl reports on DID happen, yes. Problem is they didn’t happen the way Karl presents them to have happened. For example: A monkey DID go into space, but it definitely wasn’t hitting buttons and controlling anything, nor did it have training or come back and then retire to a monkey museum space home filled with memorial stuff lol. Also, there was a monkey on a late night show, but it wasn’t chatting with the guest. So many of his stores are just vaguely true but since he doesn’t actually read about them, he embellishes everything beyond absurdity or else misunderstood what was ACTUALLY being said/what actually happened.

‘Bungled’ is a word, lol. It means to mess something up/carry out a task incompetently. I’ve mentioned this to a few other reactors. 😋 Karl might not have used the word correctly or even known what it is, but at least he knew the word exists (unlike Ricky and Steve)!
@DlcEnergy2 жыл бұрын
Just cause it so happens to already be a word, doesn't mean he knew of it. He has made up other words too. He was basically using it as an alt for "bundled". But "bungled" felt more right.
@BaresEatBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@DlcEnergy OK… He didn’t necessarily know that the word exists, but the word itself isn’t made-up either (which is what Ricky and Steve were suggesting). He misused a word that happens to exist. Regardless, my point stands that Ricky and Steve came across pretty ignorant as well.
@BaresEatBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@DlcEnergy You’re just being adversarial for the sake of it. You’re not coming across as intelligent, just so you know. I didn’t claim to know “every single word in the English language”, nor did I fault Ricky and Steve for not knowing every word in the English language. I was saying they came across as ignorant for scoffing at Karl’s use of the word, challenging its very existence, when the word does in fact exist (even if Karl misused it/didn’t know it existed). Ricky and Steve have always portrayed Karl as the uneducated simpleton, and themselves as the teachers who introduce Karl to new ideas and ways of thinking. That’s literally their comedic dynamic and what makes the show funny… but it doesn’t work as well if the ‘teachers’ end up appearing equally ignorant.
@DlcEnergy2 жыл бұрын
@@BaresEatBeats No i'm not, i'm making a valid argument. Don't like it, tough. And even if Ricky knew of the word, he'd still have laughed, knowing he was still clearly making it up himself. Just like "uppered", "wroted", "tubberware", "squoze", "ruminging". lol
@BaresEatBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@DlcEnergy They said he “made up a word”. The word isn’t made-up. No, they weren’t wrong to laugh at Karl for using the other ‘words’ because they are in fact made-up words. They didn’t laugh because he misused ‘bungle’ or because he didn’t know what it meant; they laughed because they didn’t know the word actually existed and assumed it was another nonsense term coined by Karl. Whether or not Karl knew what it meant is irrelevant - they are supposed to know better. If they don’t, then a big part of the premise for show is lost. No, I did not have to look the word up. I used to proofread at one the largest publishers in the world, but that’s also irrelevant. I pointed out an isolated moment in which Ricky and Steve sounded equally ignorant to Karl. I wasn’t implying it means they’re actually idiots and Karl is a genius or that they should know every word in existence. It was a unique moment in which Ricky and Steve lost a bit of their intellectual seniority over Karl. You’re trying way too hard to make a point.
