PlayStation Riffmasters do not work for Fortnite Festival on PC at this time. They DO work for Clone Hero and other games, however.

For those curious it says "Compatible with Fornite Festival and Rock Band 4" under that white paper on the box.

Fortnite Festival just turned me into a Rhythm game fan. I've never once played Guitar Hero/Clone Hero/Rock Band. And the Riffmaster will be my first ever guitar that I'll own and play. I honestly can't wait for this guitar to come out!

Never used a rock band guitar before but the fact that it's way quieter and is more friendly for lefty players are huge selling points to me, excited to pick one up

The fact rhythm games are making a come back is wild to me. Its honestly thanks to people like this guy for still playing them long after they fell out of favor with the general public. Also the clone hero team. But Fortnight adding a rockband like game to their game is huge and is getting lots of people back into these games or into them for the first time.

The wait for this hardware feels like forever, even though I didn't know it existed until last week.

As a zoomer rhythm game player, I always wanted to get my own guitar controller but unfortunately I haven’t been able to obviously due to no new GH/RB games being made anymore. This will finally allow me to try a guitar controller for the first time and I am so stoked! I cant wait to hopefully become as good as you and the Lore Hero group one day. :)

I’m really excited for when this comes out. I’ve been playing Clone Hero off and on for years, but I really got back into these rhythm games due to Festival. This controller looks really nice even if I’d prefer a Guitar Hero set up instead of Rock Band. Great video man!

Man I’m excited for when they finally release these, my Rock Band 2 strat is starting to show its age and a brand new guitar for RB4 would be amazing. Hopefully soon they announce a release date and price

Looks so sick and I’ll definitely pick it up when it releases BUT I REALLY prefer the GH style with protruding buttons and a clicky strum bar.

How are you activating Star Power, and how does it feel? It looks like you're trying to hit the thin select / back button with a pinky. I never learned how to palm Select (especially on the older models with a round select) so looking at this I feel like I'd revert to tilting or seeing if I could assign select to an input on the neck-mounted analog stick. While Clone Hero does allow for inputs from multiple devices (so I can use a foot pedal for SP), RPCS3, YARG and WTDE don't so there's also the option of feeding the Riffmaster and a pedal through xbox360CE, but then that'd probably add latency. If the Riffmaster has a nicer onboard method of hitting SP, that'd be lovely - is it just easier than it looks to hit those buttons?

Glad they are making new guitar controllers. Hopefully they are successful and we see drum controllers made too. Just cracked my rockband drums recently and really would like something brand new out of box.

Hope they will be readily available over here, too. Finally a chance to get one for other platforms and make sure they all work in my game (only got PS controllers and it's impossible to find any otherwise). Not to mention the constant dread of "if my controller dies, I can't get a new one".

God, Dream Genie is like its own kind of rhythm game compared to the rest of the songs in any Guitar Hero/Rock Band game. Just tech fc'd it and can't wait to grind it on this controller. This video was very helpful. Thanks!

I've always preferred Rock Band style guitars even if that makes me a weirdo. I'll definitely buy a couple of these to support more of these being made and I'm exited to try this for myself. Not so exited about it being a piano black fingerprint magnet but hey what can you do.

the one thing I wish they'd done was make it a bit bulkier, that's the thing about the Warbeast controller that gave me hope for this

Activating star power with the dpad is the only thing keeping me from ordering one. I remember when the Xplorer came out and some of us glued a coin to it for easier activation/squeezing, maybe there will be a similar workaround for this one

Finally i need one for Xbox for years now i want to buy RockBand 4 because all my DLC for RB 1 to 3 was on the 360 .And Rock Band 4 dongle for Xbox are impossible to find .Cant wait for this !!!

Does the Rifflaster's whammy bar work when you play Clone Hero? Heard some complaints about it not working in that setting.

honestly just hope the strum bar is more durable than the OG RB1 guitars cuz mine broke years ago due to strumming too hard since I strum with mainly my thumb like a bass guitar and that thing was for sure not designed with how violent my strumming can be

I just got mine. Ps4/ps5 version. Cant get the audio to go back to speakers when connected to pc for clone hero.

Just wondering, since it works on PS4 and PS5 using a dongle, does it use the same protocol as older Rock Band guitars for PS2/PS3 as well? Would I be able to use this one those platforms as well kinda like how you can use a PS2/PS3 guitar on PS4/PS5?

My only complaint is how close the share and select button are to each other. I deploy overdrive with my pinky and I’m constantly hitting the share button. Very annoying. I opened it up and removed the share button
